Shane's POV
Ryland looks up at me with fear in his eyes. I hate that look, fear, it's the worst thing to see someone you love going through. I'm more mad than scared, this "monster" is messing with MY family and I will not have it. I turn and start talking to the investigators who just called the animal services to tell them about Uno. We come up with a plan. Ryland and I will set up some type of "trap" with the police. The officers will be hiding tomorrow night in the laundry room, and by all the doors. Ryland and I will somehow "reel" the monster in and then they will catch them.
We have a theory of who it is, the woman. it's a very good one considering she's CREEPY AF and said the same things. While talking to the officers about the plan, i hear crying coming from upstairs. I run upstairs to find Ryland laying on our bed crying into his pillow.
"hey, its going to be ok, we have a plan" i said hugging him tight to my side.
"im scared" he said trying to stop crying.
"hey, you can cry, dont stop, let it out, its ok" i said hugging him even tighter.
after about 15 minutes of comforting Ryland i hear foot steps coming up the stairs. Ryland gasps and jumps off the bed. "its ok, its just the officers, ill tell you about our plan." i said. The officers and a woman walk up the stairs. the woman walks over the me and says "may i?" directing her eyes toward Ryland. I nod and step back.
she goes towards Ryland and says "hey, its ok. our team is on it and you will never be alone, either an officer will be outside, inside, or your amazing boyfriend will be with you. i would like to talk with you after you settle down. I would hate to trigger anything making you even more upset at the moment. so when you ready to talk, ill be here. ok?"
"ok" ryland says. "thank you" i say giving them both a hug.
"group hug!" said the two officers which made Ryland laugh.
"good" the woman said, "now, i wanna see that smile more often"
"yes ma'am" ryland says.
"please, call my Lisa" Lisa says. Ryland smiles and looks up at me and he says "haha like Lisa, our bestie" i laugh and sit down with Ryland and the officers and Lisa leave.
"remember, we will always be outside." she says. we both nod.
"feeling better?" i ask
Ryland nods and smiles hugging my side. i hug back which makes our heads bonk. "ow!" he laughs. "let me kiss it better." i "kiss it better" and peck yet again on the lips. wow, im a lucky guy.
