Hello readers! I hope you all enjoy this new story idea of mine! Yes, I tagged this as a romance story, the romance will come. Please enjoy my first story in a long time!

Disclaimer: I do not own Anything belonging to Bethesda, if I owned Fallout 4 I would add more possible robotic romance choices like Curie.

I woke up slowly, my body feeling very stiff from what must have been a long slumber. I try to sit up, the bed below me creaking from my movement.

"Wait..." I think to myself, "A bed...?" My last memory is of me barely limping along towards the nearest building....

I shove my last stimpack into my shoulder, wincing as the unknown fluids immediately get to work healing the gouge ripped from my arm by a construction protectron. I continue to unload clip after clip of my trusted laser rifle, dubbed the Laser Pointer, into the reprogrammed robots and their rust-covered masters. Around me lay the dead Rust-Devils and destroyed robot, ones belonging to them and me.

I could feel my road leathers and leather armor sticking to my sweaty and bloody skin, but I could not feel my right arm. I threw out my only Plasma grenade in a last effort to take them out, and thankfully it was successful. I looked to my right arm to see a sizable hole through my shoulder, explaining the numbness in that area. I holstered my gun on my back and painfully dragged myself to my feet, seeing what looks like an old research facility in the distance and walking towards it.

"What... What am I doing here...?" I look around the well preserved bedroom, seeing the doors and furniture that is normally destroyed in surprisingly good condition. One of these doors open and a protectron medic enters the room.

"Are you in need of medical assistance?" An oddly feminine and slightly more fluid voice asks. I notice that this protectron seems... upgraded. It's movements are much smoother.

"I... I don't know, can you tell me where I am?" I look my body over as I pull off my covers. I'm thoroughly patched up, bandaging everywhere as I notice that I've been changed into a hospital gown.

"You are currently in a reclaimed Vault-Tec medical facility." The monotone voice explains.

"Wait... Where's my arm...?" I look over at the bandaging over my right shoulder, showing no signs that there could possibly be an arm underneath it all. A new, feminine and much more fluid voice replies as the white robot moves out of the doorway.

"I can explain, and I'm sorry to leave you with no explanation beforehand." A pink and white protectron walks in, her arms and legs moving in a very human manner and her hips swaying slightly with each step, "I'm Dr. Luka Jennings, I am the head doctor of this facility." Her face is the oddest part of her. The one or two normally vertical sensors or laser have been replaced with two horizontal sensors, like a pair of eyes. And a speaker has been placed where a mouth would be, obviously producing the much clearer sounding voice. Her hands have also been modified to work a lot more like a humans, seemingly scrapped from a synth

"Um... hello Dr. Jennings.... How did I get here?" I ask her first, trying to prioritize what I need to know.

"One of our guard patrols found you bleeding out in range of our facility, so we brought you in and fixed you up." She comments plainly. I look at her with an odd fascination, asking my next question,

"How is this facility still running...? And why is an assaultron the head doctor?"

"That's a long story," She explains to me how an old ghoul had made the facility his home, having lost is previous one when the bombs fell. He had been a A.I. programmer and Robotics engineer for Robo-co and used his skills to fix up and reprogram any machine he could find. Overtime he had found many robots and eventually decided to use them to make his home into a working medical facility.

This man had actually found Luka as a broken down Miss. Nanny in a lab and had modified her current body to how she had wanted.

"He was a genius," She comments, getting to the end of her story, "Though sadly his addiction to Mentats slowly killed him... He asked for no help with his problem, and left me in charge when he passed."

I process all I had been told, giving my condolences, "So... This is a hospital? Run by robots?"

"That's right, though sadly not as many as their used to be." I smile softly at her,

"Well, maybe I can help with that."

No, the romance is not between our protagonist and Dr. Jennings, once again, the romance will come.
