The Time Trio

Chapter 4 The Invasion

Dr. Brown and Bender were looking at each other with confused faces.

"I'll explain later, right now we need to hurry!" Yumpler said in Dr. Brown's head.
Dr. Brown nodded and followed Yumpler out of the garage with Bender running behind him. The queen turned to face the three.

"I will meet you up there. I will go my own way." She said.

"Yes, your majesty." Yumpler said to her.

They headed out. Just then, Dr. Brown saw what seemed to be a mech. It was red all over, except for the front window, which was clear and inside looked like a child! On one arm of the mech was a plasma cannon on top of a black hand and the other was a long arm also with a black hand. The legs were long and had a box shape for each ankle. The feet of the mech had two flat toes in the front, and one flat toe in the back. The body was way bulkier than the arms and legs. The mech was jumping up and down in front of the entrance. It was accompanied by a bunch of pale green skinned men running around it. The men all looked similar. They had a brown coat on with a dirty white collared shirt on underneath. All wore a red tie with white stripes running diagonally on it. They all wore old jeans with rips at the ankles exposing sickenly thin legs with a pale green tone. Some had traffic cones on their heads, others had grey buckets on them. One even had a red flag with a shape on it, but Dr. Brown couldn't make the shape out.

"What the hell is that thing?!" Dr. Brown asked pointing to the mech.

"That's a Z-Mech. And inside is Enup." Yumpler said.

"Who is Enup?" Bender asked.
"He's a part of a type zombie known as the Imp. He's Cietro's most hated enemy." Yumpler replied as he gathered the little weeds and set them in a line in front of a giant bulletin board with a green frame.

"Okay, two things." Bender said.

"Yes?" Yumpler asked.

"One: Did you just say zombie?! And two: WHO IS CIETRO?!" Bender asked with his arms waving wildly in the air.

"Cietro is a Citron, which I'll explain later, and yes I did say zombie."

"Great Scott!" Dr. Brown said with widened eyes.

"No, it's Yumpler." Yumpler said.

"No, that's just something I say. What do they want?" Dr. Brown asked.

"They want to take over our base. That's the first time in two weeks. Dr. Zomboss must have been planning something." Rachel said as she floated toward them.

"Who-" Bender was interrupted by the sorceress.
"He's the leader of the zombies, hun. And I'm Rachel." She said to Bender in a matter-of-fact tone.

"I'll explain everything later, right now we have to fight." Yumpler said.

Plants about the size of Dr. Brown came bursting from the ground. They ranged in types from one that seemed to be completely frozen to one that was made of solid rock. They all, for the most part, had the same body shape. The head was like a big cannon. The mouth part was wide and open. The body had a thick stem. The arms were slightly thinner than the body and the hands were pea pods. Tangled vines were everywhere on the arms. There were no legs, but rather thick leaves that worked like spider legs. Yumpler explained to Dr. Brown and Bender that their species were called Peashooters.

Next came plants about the same size as these Peashooters. They had a similar body as well, but their body was more upright. And instead of pea pods for hands, they had small flowers with small bright pouches in the center of each hand. Their heads were giant sunflowers with big bulging eyes and large mouths. Much like the Peashooters, there were a variety of different types of these plants. There was one that seemed to be a vampire! Yumpler said they were a species called Sunflowers.
