Hidden Clues

I walk inside the house and a sickening smell swoops in my nose. The smell is conveying blood. Perhaps it was just from a tragedy that happened years ago and maybe the rotten smell didn't fade away.

I couldn't tolerate the smell so I rustled my handbag to find a deodrant. I sprayed the can until there was not much of it left. I guess I should start carrying more of the deodorant, I think to myself but I'm not so sure if I should find that funny!

I look around the house. Huge, grey cobwebs surrounded the corners of the ville. All the furniture seemed weak since it was not looked after for years.

I take my luggage in what seemed like the master bedroom. It was pretty spacious but not so clean. I manage to find a box of cleaning supplies and get to work.

After hours of cleaning I prop my bed with a clean white sheet and place my clothes in a creaky Gothic cupboard.

I looked like a hot mess and I was sweating completely. I wanted to have a bath and wondered if the lights and water supply is there and then suddenly I get a message from Mr Jonathan:

Anna I forgot to tell you, I have payed for the water and electricity supply just in case you were wondering. ;)

Woah! How did he find out? It was pretty weird but I don't have time to be thinking much.

I have a hot bath and change into a stripy pink tee and a pair of black leggings. I decide I should do my hair and sit on the vanity that had been there before I came.

The vanity is pretty and big. Its is a white vanity with dark black patterns. The mirror is cracked however, and I wonder what might have had happened.

I tie my mousy brown locks into a loose one-sided plait and go down to the kitchen. I pick up a pack of chocolate chip cookies and return to my room.

I open my laptop and wonder what to write for my report. I suppose I didn't make enough effort to find interesting things to write about.

So I walk out and take yet another tour of the villa. I finally come across a store room which looks as if it had been abandoned for centuries.

The dust in the room makes me sneeze a couple of times. But nevertheless I start exploring the ancient room.

I walk inside to find a large portrait of a pretty young girl who may have been around her twenties. Perhaps my age?

At the bottom of the portrait it says 'Jessica'. And I assume its the name of the girl in the potrait. Around the room there are several possessions of what I assume are hers.

Long necklaces, studded bracelets, beautiful earings and various ornaments. But the best thing I find is a diary. I know reading other peoples stuff is wrong but whoever wrote this has probably died so I take the chance.

I leave the store room with the diary to reveal secrets which may have not been discovered by anyone.
