your eyes capture her beauty
but i want them to be set on mine.
i'm selfish, aren't i?
i deserve this cruelty,
not some meaningless sign.
i try and try and try,
and search for reasons you'd love me; every time.
yet you only look to her — it's fine,
but why?
it's a facade; she's not benign.
can't you see she's molded into your own choiced design?
and like the pathetic girl i am, i cry.
was wishing you could love me, instead, a crime?
i know i'm not worth a dime;
lest a moment of your time
but i
i just desperately wish; that you, were mine.
