Hours have passed and yeah, I got an exemption from my teacher. Well, after that, I cut classes and went straight in my place. Out of nowhere, I thought of my parents having a regular day with the family. And we just live in a simple house, yet, we're happy.
No matter how hard I try to get my parent's attention, I can't achieve it. Even if I Ace my test or shower the whole school, they wouldn't give a single attention.
I sighed deeply and slowly. I opened my door and never to expect the last person, no scratch that! People! People to show up in my house.
"Mom. Dad" I started. Seems they didn't notice me from their phone calls with their clients. Great.
I went straight to my bedroom and picked my denim shorts with Jake's tee. I saw them in my kitchen eating some of my cereals. Which they have no idea of the food since they haven't tried it. Not until now.
"Megan! My goodness! What is this? This is delicious! Much better than our chef's porridge! And with milk, it is much more!" My mom clearly likes it. She flashed a real smile which caught me off guard hence, I haven't seen that smile for almost 5 years.
"It's called cereal mom. Guess this time, you'll know something from me" I laughed and hugged her. She hugged me back and continued eating her cereal.
My dad keeps on eating my chocolate bars. He flashed me a smile too. Which made me happy and continue to watch them enjoying. Like regular people.
When they're done, they told me to go to the living room and we need to talk about something important.
Well, I guess it really is important since they personally went here to share me the news.
"Megan, honey, you're going to transfer universities." My mom started with a smooth tone.
I gave them my 'will-Jake-go-with-me look' and they nodded. I agreed and stood up. I got a drink and thinking about Chace. Wait, I should be happy! I can finally get rid of him.
We talked and shared a little. When their clients called once again, we finally bid our goodbyes. I closed the door and went straight to my bedroom and charged my iPhone.
I wonder what's the reason. All they told me was "in the right time, dear". Like I have a single shitty clue.
