CHAPTER 04

B R E T T

I was uneasy. I felt so fvcking uneasy when I heard that Chad which happens to be my long lost mate was my little brother's boyfriend!

"Yes, this is Chad Reano. My boyfriend." Bryan said, grinning so proudly.

Chad.

Chad Reano.

His name was echoing inside my head.

". . . anyway, enjoy your kids pool party. We're going to have a real adult party upstairs." Bryan said and held Chad's hand and I wanted to stand and slice my hand with their attached hands, separating it.

And what the hell was that about having a real adult party upstairs!? Ha!

My mind wasn't present there with my friends after Bryan and Chad went upstairs. My mind's fvcking there with them! I was thinking what were they already doing and it's killing me. They're not doing it right? Right!?

I ended up stalking Chad and I even followed him to the mall where his mother and his little brother were with him also and they were doing some restocking of their foods.

His scent was so addicting and it's sticking on my nose that I can't get it off no matter how I rubbed it away.

But I made sure that I keep my distance so he won't really think that I was stalking him and it seems like his little brother was the first one to recognize me and then he was surprised to see me when our eyes met. But he was the one to looked away first as if he didn't recognized me, and it hurt my feelings. And also my wolf's.

I don't even know if he ever felt that strong connection. Well, I guess not because he's a human! I don't know what's their case.

I ended up buying a few things because it would so suspicious if I walked out without buying anything.

I threw the things I bought inside my car and saw Chad placing the groceries on the back of their car. I moved my feet and approached him.

"Hey. Chad right?" I said and he jumped in surprise and turned to see me.

"Are you a ghost?" He said breathlessly making me laugh. I can feel how nervous he was.

"Wrong. I'm a werewolf." I said because it's the truth and he gave me a sarcastic chuckle. Better than nothing.

"Nice try." He said.

"Yeah?" I removed something on his hair. And by something, I mean nothing. And I was so amused how his heart was beating so loud when I did that. "Something was on you hair." I said and pretend to threw that something.

"Oh, thanks. You should just told me." He said and scratched his hair.

"It was faster that way." I said and the car horned, surprising him..

"Uh, they're calling me. . ." He said.

"They are. I'll see you later and take care." I said.

"Okay. You too."

I watched him walked until he went inside the car and drove home. To his home.

It was driving me crazy thinking that he was so near yet so far from me. He's just on my grasp but I can't touch him.

I was planning on attending some activities at the uni that evening though it's not necessary to come but I have nothing to do at the house and I'll just ended up thinking about Chad until I became insane.
