I was riding my bike from the cafe to my house, it was already 10pm. Erika, Carl and Joey was talking nonstop in the cafe and when I entered the house.
" I'm home"
" Welcome home Hiro, why are you late?" mom asked.
" Erika and Carl was hanging out at our cafe the whole evening. They won't let me go home yet, I'm so tired."
" Oh really, well have you ate dinner?"
" Not yet all I had was coffee and cakes"
" Well then change your clothes and I'll prepare dinner."
" Thanks mom." I went upstairs and change my clothes, I went down immediately and ate dinner.
" So how was school?" mom asked.
" Still the same."
" Really? nothing out of the ordinary happened?"
When mom said that I didn't know why but Joey's face flashed into my mind and before I knew it I was already smiling.
" Hmm...I think something did happen." mom said suspiciously
" Give me a break mom. By the way where's dad?"
" He went to Japan, he said he had something to do there."
" Again? He seems to be spending alot of time there then here with us."
" Well you can't blame him, Japan is his hometown, maybe he just misses it."
" Well if you say so mom."
After eating dinner I went back to my room to study and do my assignments when my phone vibrated and a message sign appeared, the message was from Joey.
" I'm sorry if I got the wrong impression between you and Rika." I replied.
" it's okay no harm done but next time you should ask before you judge."
" Sure, sorry again :) "
I didn't reply anymore after that but minutes passed. I received another message from her again saying
" oh by the way Hiro, I love you :) I haven't said that in awhile, well that's all goodnight."
" Yeah, it's really been awhile since you said that." I said to myself.
Things went back to normal, Joey would come by my building everyday and we would go together to the coffee shop. I'm beginning to get used to our situation.
" Hey Hiro, are with me?"
" Ah..yeah.."
" Yeah right it's like you are physically hear but mentally out there."
" I was just thinking of many stuffs." Suddenly Joey's phone rang. " Excuse me for a second okay Hiro." then she distance her self.
As i was looking at Joey, I felt at peace and it was like my fondness towards her is slowly changing. I had to be honest the days when she didn't talk to me, I kind of miss her. She finished her phone call and walked towards me.
