chapter 9 : blessing

The prophet (S.A. W) said :"A virgin should not be given in marriage except after her permission".
People asked :"oh Allah's messenger how do we know her permission?".
Prophet (S.A.W) :"replied her silence".

"From how long are you staring at me?" Anat asked him as she folded her prayer mat.

"Just from when you were making dua and then when you fell on sujood and then when you read some supplications and that's all "Ayadh replied and Anat looked at him with wide eyes but instantly smiled .

"Ok . But why were you staring at me from so long?" she asked.

"Cause you were deeply lost in your prayers and I was wondering how can a person be so lost in prayers ?"

"If you really love Allah and trust him ,then you tend to lose your self, when your praying to him"

"So you trust in Allah alot. Is it? " .

"Alhamdulillah . I do " .

"Then why were you crying ?" He asked and Anat smiled .

"Cause my Allah blessed me again with another Niyamah (blessing) " she said .

"Niyamah? And may I know what is that ?" He asked.

"You!!!!" She said looking directly in to his orbs.

"Me ? " Ayadh asked her in confusion and disbelief.

"Yes you, Mr.husband " she said with a chuckle .

"Ok!!! Then why am I ' a blessing'? "

"I'll tel you but first let's sit down we are standing from Allah knows how long " she said and they both took a seat on bed.

"So ,your a blessing cause you too don't believe in concept love.
I was just wondering, if I would be married to someone who did believe in love then? I would surely be helpless and he would have even tried to come close to me and I would feel shattered if something of that sort would happen " she said as a tear slipped from her orbs .

"Hey , relax Anat nothing as such happened right , then don't think about it ". Ayadh said while wiping her tears.

"So this is why your a blessing "she said with a smile and Ayadh smiled back and they kept quiet as they heard fajr azaan .

Ayadh found azaan so peacefull that time . He dint have trust in Allah but he had faith in him . He knew very well that Allah is one and everything is destined by him and every time he offered Salah ,he offered it cause it was farz (compulsary to offer) .

"Where are you lost?" Anat asked .

"Nothing" he replied and she went and started placing the prayer mat on ground to offer Salah.

Ayadh is still waiting . He is waiting as if he wants to hear something from her but after 5 minutes when she dint tell anything and got busy offering Salah. He got up from his place made obligation and left to masjid .

"Can I ask you something " Ayadh asked .

"You can ask me anything ,anytime . You don't have to take permission for that" Anat replied with smile.

"When you went to offer your fajr Salah, why din't you ask me to offer it and even during zohar salah ,you dint tell me anything " Ayadh asked while he was sitting with her in couch.

"Why do you want me to tell you to offer Salah?" She asked.

" Cause every one does it . Whenever someone goes to offer Salah ,they start to command me to do as they do ,so " Anat chuckled listening to it. To which Ayadh looked at her narrowed eyes.

"I m sorry , I dint want to laugh, but Ayadh remember one thing, whenever you offer Salah offer it only for the sake of Allah and for no one else and I dint tell you to offer cause I knew you would offer it " Anat said.

" And how do you know that?" Ayadh asked.

" Cause Bhai told me that in college times you people offered salah's together " Anat said.

"Ok . But what if I wouldn't offer ?You would have told me to offer right ?" Ayadh asked .

"No !! I wouldn't. I would pray to Allah to make you close to him and eventually you would start praying" Anat replied .

" and you think Allah would make me close to him? "

"Of course he would and before you ask me more questions . I'll give all your answers by myself . You know Ayadh , there was a time when I dint believe in Allah. I used to pray but I had no faith . It was just like me fulfilling a duty and then something happened in my life that changed every thing and I realised that except for Allah there is no one who understands you ,who listens to you , who knows all your dark secrets but yet loves you. So from there I began to pray with faith" Anat finally completed and Ayadh just smiled at her .

"Bhaiiiii......" Yasmeen came yelling to Ayadh s room .

"Bhai ,I have brought lunch for you and bhabhi " yasmeen said and placed the lunch on table in front of Anat and Ayadh.

"Jazakallahu khair sis,but you dont have to yell" Ayadh said dramatically .

"Ayadh " ayesha aunty came in and Sat beside the couple and said "since you had breakfast with us I wanted you people to have lunch alone ".

"But first you people should feed each other and then start your lunch " ayesha aunty spoke again while she put food in their plates .

The couple gave each other a look and fed each other with a morsel and Yasmeen clapped as she said " Awwww so cute " and then aunty pulled her out with her and left the couple alone .

"I m sorry Anat " Ayadh said .

"Sorry? For what" she asked confused .

" you know , all this wedding dramas and rituals "

" oh that . It's ok. You don't have to be sorry ,I dint mind that and anyways we have to spend our lives together ,so any how we need to get comfortable with each other" she said .

"Your right, I was thinking the same thing but you know ,I never thought you would adjust with me so well .
Even though our thoughts match . I thought you would behave like every other Indian girl and get shy an all " Ayadh said and Anat chuckled as she asked " who told you I don't feel shy? " .

Ayadh was about to reply when his phone started ringing and by mistake Anat saw the caller Id which made her shiver from her head to foot .
