Pace
Darks POV
Pacing around my cell with a chip on my shoulder. I was trying so hard last night not to go to sleep. Usually I have no problem staying awake due to the uncomfortable bed but Mari's perfect,
Soft voice coaxed me to rest. When I woke up I reached out to touch her to find she wasn't there. My eyes shot open and I shot up out of bed. I had stupidly fallen asleep and she had probably left to go home and sleep herself. I was incredibly sick of following these rules and trying to play nice to save her sense of reality.
I wanted our. I wanted to play, but still I waited.
I sat and remained silent in my cell to let the guards relax. Little did the guards know I was hardly there at all. Listening out into the hall and then down to the other side of containment, my hearing reached out to the parking lot, outside the building.
I heard two cars pulling up, one behind the other. I heard Marlena's breath as she stepped out of her car into the cold air. And then I heard his.
"Are you still mad?" Her sweet voice asked.
"Are you still going to see a mentally unstable patient that could hurt you?" He snapped back.
"Tom," I hated that name. "I just want to help him. If you just give me more time with him I can prescribe him." She said back, most likely speaking of me.
"Whatever," he huffed and marched off through the gravel.
I listened as she entered the building and asked another guard to escort her to her office.
Just another few minutes.
She was left alone in her office flipping through papers and clicking her pen. It was quiet except for her breathing. Now was the time.
I closed my eyes in my cell and opening them I was in her office. Right over her shoulder with out her even knowing I was there.
I reached out, pushed my chest against the back of her chair and wrapped my hand around her neck.
"Marlena, I missed you." I breathed out digging my nose into her hair.
She let out a cute gasp and her hand shot towards the panic button. I grabbed her wrist, pulling it back and gave her and a gentle rub.
"Now, now. I don't want anyone interrupting our time together." I grumbled lowering my head down to her neck.
Kissing at her soft skin made her shy away from my touch with a small squeak sound. I got a firmer grip on her and ran my tongue up her neck. Feeling the beat of her pulse against my mouth made me want to mark her as mine.
She began to shake and whimper.
"Shh, calm down love. Your probably the safest person in this building." I spoke in a calm voice.
"Dark, how did you get out?" She demanded straightening her spine and pulling away.
I laughed.
"Now, pet, I told you I'm always in control. It would be wise if you followed my rules for me okay?" I said leaning my head against hers while wrapping both my arms around her, rocking her slightly.
Her hands went up to my forearm, pulling down slightly, afraid I would choke her.
"Your rules?" She asked.
"We'll speak about them when I come and see you today," I kissed her head and released my hold stepping away.
"See you soon, love." And I was back in my cell, as if I had never left.
