Waking up in L.A. wasn't on my list of top moments. Mainly because I had no idea what I was actually doing. I didn't know if I should go rent a really crappy hotel room until I landed on my feet or if I should live in my car. I decided easily, although it wasn't the safest, living in my car was the best option. That way I didn't lose as much money on the nonessentials. The sun shone through my dusty window and I felt as if a weight was lifted from my shoulders, but a new one was put in its absence.
Groaning I sit up from the drivers seat and run my eyes to rid of the sleep I had awoken from. Strangers passed my car as though they had seen random, weird girls waking up in her car every block. I open my door and grab some of the money I'd gotten before. I walk into a random McDonald's to order my breakfast.
If I can't afford a hotel room, at least I can afford McDonald's. Thank the lord. I walk to the counter and order my meal, praying I'll be able to find a job soon so I don't have to eat here everyday. I sit at a random table at look aimlessly through the window facing the streets. Due to the rushing movements outside I guess it mush be early enough for the work rush.
The passing business professionals power walked with a Starbucks cup in hand, others who looked like assistants did similarly. I noticed that there were things similar to my home small families walked to small cafes to get breakfast. The scenes all remind me of those moments with my parents. The short walks we'd go on, the little picnics we shared, and all the vacations we spent getting absolutely baked.
The memories come flooding back into my mind, my eyes water as I shake those thoughts frantically from my mind. Luckily my order is called shortly after so I could finally rid myself of painful memories. I devoured my meal as quickly as I'd received it. To others around me, who just witnessed my eating, must think I'm completely rabid. I throw all of my trash out and leave to go exploring and seeing if I could find a place to park where I won't be towed.
This should be interesting.
