Looped In Time

"You got to be kidding me right?" Lola practically yelled from across the room.
Her voice echoed through the school hallway.

"I don't wanna go out to the middle of the wilderness in the middle of nowhereville for three days? Three whole days to check out some stupid phony ghost town just for some stupid historical project that is not even going to get us a bonus on our grades"

I could not help but roll my eyes at little miss New York. She just moved to this school a few weeks ago and is having quite a hard time adjusting to country life. Or should I say Texan life. We live in Houston one of the biggest cities in the United States, so it's mostly city life here but I guess that's not good enough for little miss New York City. She looked over her shoulder, straight at me with a very irritated glare.

"Got a problem Carrot top?"

Carrot top was her nickname for me. Of course, I always got nicknames from everyone since I am a redhead I swear it's so annoying sometimes but I just think she's jealous that my hair is naturally beautiful and hers is fake just like everything else on her

"About you? Not yet blondie but the days not over yet"

I slammed my locker shut and walked away ignoring all of the insults that she was trying to throw at me but failing

To my surprise The school day went by fast. soon the last bell rang and I was already out the door ready for the day to just be over with. Tomorrow I was going to be able to get out of the house for 3 days 3 hole days! Unlike Lola I saw the upside to it. it's 3 days of no parents or school what more could you want? Once Home my mother had supper ready. Which I took no time in Devouring then went up stars quickly changed out of my old clothes hopped in the shower then once finished put on my pajamas then brushed my teeth.

I dived into my bed and hit it With a thug. Then grabbed the remote to turn on the tv. Supernatural was on! Yay! It's one of my favorites, damn dean is fine! Oh Lana snap out of it. I told myself Maybe that's why I am still single because I set my standers to high.

I don't know how many episodes I watched but when I looked at my clock it was already 11:30 "shit" I Said out loud to myself I have to get up early because the buss is picking me up at 5:30 sharp. I rolled over and turned off my light climbed under my covers and was fast asleep

"Stay safe, watch out for rattlers." Was my dads advice as me and my mom headed out of the house to the awaiting van.

By the time I got to the driveway mrs Shermen, my mothers best friend, and Lola's mother just pulled up and I climbed inside Most of the seats were already filled with equipment.

I walked slowly looking for a seat when I spotted Lola with a empty seat next to her . She put her hand on it immediately

"don't even think about it carrot top"

It was either that or next to the big ball of canvas tenting in the last row.

For me that was practically an invitation. With one swift motion I swooped her hand up from the seat and sat down.

"Thanks for the seat"

Her eyes were fuming and I could see that she was trying to protest but could not find the words. Well this should be a fun 4 hour ride

When we arrived I was the first to Jump out of the van, feeling the need to stretch my legs. Here were it was, actually a ghost town. A 2 hundred-year-old empty town it was a amazing site to see and everything was so intact. It was almost as if everyone in this town just vanished into thin air and the town just stood still lost in time
