Cyn's P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of a siren. I shot up in bed and looked to my side, looking for Abby. I noticed her bed was empty but it looked like she slept in it.
I scrambled out of the bed and hurried to the living room and gasped.
Cops swarmed the living room. Abby and Rosa lay dead on the floor.
Tears sprang to my eyes as I desperately searched for Abby's dad, Justin, in the mob of cops.
"Cyn!" I turned around to see Justin came up behind me.
I let out a sob and threw my arms around him. "I'm so sorry..."
"Shhhh.... It wasn't your fault.... Don't be sorry sweetheart...." He kissed the top of my hair and rested his chin on my head.
I pulled back slowly, my gray eyes averted to the wooden floor. "Justin...?"
"Yeah?"
"Where's my dad? Can I see him? Can I go home?" I played with the bottom of my shirt.
"Sure thing. I'll take you if you want. Just grab your stuff and tell me when you're ready."
I nodded my head and trudged back to Abby's room. I changed into street clothes and gathered my other clothes in my school bag. My steel eyes studied the room. Pictures on the walls, mirrors, drawing, luscious curtains, two twin size beds, and her dresser. No tv, no hair dryer, nothing of that kind. She mostly hated technology.
I chuckled and headed out. I found Justin and told him I was ready.
We headed to the garage, where my mom's Santa Fe was.
He got into the driver's seat and started the engine.
His garage door opened and we started toward my house.
The trip was silent, uncomfortably so. He kept glancing at me, worriedly.
I let out a relived sigh when my house came into view. He parked in my driveway and turned off the engine. He leaned back in the seat and smiled humorlessly at me. "Ready?"
I nodded and we climbed out of the vehicle.
I ran to the front steps and pressed the ringer button many times.
The door swung open to reveal my dad. I threw my arms around him, tears once more in my eyes. I felt him hold me tightly and carry me into the house.
"Come in, Justin. My house is your house." My daddy called out.
I could hear Justin's footsteps enter the house. "I'll wait here."
Daddy carried me upstairs to my room and laid me in bed, smiling softly at me with tears running down his face. "Thank god you're okay...." He kissed my forehead and left.
LJ's P.O.V
I watched as the girl's dad left her room before rushing back to my cabin.
"Jeffrey the fucking killer, you owe me so goddamn much." I roared as I stepped inside, slamming the door behind me.
Jeff walked out of the kitchen. If he could, he'd be frowning at me. "Why do I owe you 'so goddamn much'?" he quoted.
"Because of restraining myself from killing the damn girl!" I took a step toward him.
"Whoa, chill down Mr. Clown. You said you would do it for me. And quiet down will ya? Someone might hear you screaming at me."
I took a shaky breath and pointed my finger at him. "You better pay me back, Jeffrey. Why do you want her alive anyway?!"
He glared at me. "It's none of your concern."
"Don't tell me you pity her! You're a fucking killer!!! You can't pity little teenage girls!!!!"
"Shut the hell up, Laughing Jack! You've pitied someone before and I didn't say shit to you! Why is it so wrong that I pity her?!"
I glared at him, unable to respond.
He was right. I HAD pitied someone. A girl of 19 with long rainbow hair. I felt pity and didn't kill her. Before long, I fell in love with her. How she would defend those she loved to the very last seconds of her life. I tried to stop Slender from killing her and her family, but I was too weak.
I lowered my gaze and whispered, "I don't want you to get hurt."
I could feel his gaze soften.
"I won't."
