"That's enough, let's get my Nachos." Blake forces Paige to turn away from what she was watching but Paige resisted and said, "Let's watch for a bit more."
Paige wants to think that the real intention of her action was for her ex-boyfriend to see her in the crowd and at least feel bad to the point that he'll fuck up his performance, just as much as he fucked up some parts of her life. Truthfully, she feels like she really can't take her eyes off him as of the moment. It was just impossible to do so, she knows.
With sad eyes, as if possessed by a broken hearted person, Xander, sang like he meant every words in the lyrics.
"Will he love you like I loved you? Will he tell you everyday? Will he make you feel like you're invincible with every word he'll say?"
"He's such a drama king. With that kind of acting, he's got the looks, skill, and a lot more talent than necessary; I wonder why no scouts have recruited him yet." Paige tells Blake with an unimpressed look on her face.
"You're not being bitter." Blake says mirrors Paige's expression.
"I am not, I'm just telling the truth. Let's go get your Nachos."
As Blake and Paige walked towards the group again, Paige spotted Alexander West, aka Xander, hanging out with his own group wherein she was adopted as a guest.
Taking a deep breath, she continued to walk with Blake, casually.
"Hey, you're here." Xander greets her with a friendly smile. No signs of pretend can be seen in his expression. Though he meant well, Paige got a different message and decided not to respond.
"Here's the Nachos!" She exclaimed handing the Nacho plate to the other guys.
All the others watched Paige's sudden change of attitude quizzically but Xander didn't. He had a different thought.
What am I being disrespected for? He thought to himself.
"Can I talk to you for a sec?" Xander asked reaching out to Paige but she moved her hand out of reach and began talking to Olivia.
"Why are these guys so dead for nachos?" Paige asked Olivia.
"They're not into Nachos that much, they just want free food or items. Anything free."
"Why are you ignoring me when I am respecting you?" Xander said with his voice loud and clear.
Olivia froze
Rafe had his eyebrows furrowed
Blake was shaking his head
Pierre was intently watching the situation.
"It's almost 12, maybe I should go." Paige smiled forcefully and waved to them all. No one responded for they all had a worried look on their faces.
Twirling around so she could walk away, she felt her hand being grabbed.
Oh fudge, I don't want anything to do with you. She thought for she already knew who that was.
She resisted the grip but the force of the owner was stronger than hers and eventually she faced him.
"Let me go." She hissed with her fiery eyes directly staring at his.
"Oh, now you see me?" Xander mocked her and threw his head back as he laughed sardonically.
"I was being nice earlier, you decided to disrespect me." He continued.
"Haven't you thought that maybe I didn't want to talk to you?" she spat as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Don't tell me that you still haven't moved on?" And again, Xander laughed contemptuously.
"Omygod, you must be kidding me, Xander? Why are you so full of yourself?" Paige laughed sarcastically, returning the same kind of enthusiasm that Xander had been giving off since the conversation started.
"Then why can't you face me?" Xander squinted his eyes as he closed his distance with Paige.
"I am facing you right now." Paige answered with confidence as she cocked her head to the side.
Xander decided to lean further making sure that what he is going to say will penetrate Paige's façade. He knows her too well.
"I missed you." Xander whispered before he smirked as he moved his face away.
He watched as Paige's tried to hide all her emotions that went hysterical inside her body without breaking the eye contact.
I MISSED YOU, MY ASS. FUCK YOU ALEXANDER WEST. Goddamn Paige! Why did you let things happen the way they did. Ugh.
As she composed herself, Xander let out another question.
"Didn't you miss me?"
"I will never ever miss you, Asshole." Paige was clearly infuriated as she emphasized "asshole" in his face.
"Be honest, Paige. You were gawking at me earlier while I was singing. Oh don't get me wrong, that song wasn't for you."
It hurt her, she admits to herself. That's the point of all of this. To hurt me more. He is just messing with you, again. Who knows how many girl he has been with after their break up? Well, I don't, and I don't wanna know.
"I was admiring your acting skills. You're still good at it, but it has improved since the last time when you acted as if you loved me." Paige decided to respond, not with hatred, not with sarcasm lacing her voice. It was simply toneless. Her emotions were raging and this was the best way she could hide them; not to express anything at all.
"Oh that? I did love you. I want you to know that." Xander's voice still sounded confident and Paige was truthfully getting tired of it.
"Yea you did. Are you done with your bullshit?" She scratched her forehead as she kept her eyes disinterested, her face neutral and her voice monotonous even though she was being extremely sarcastic.
"Done." Xander waves with a satisfied smile.
"Bye guys." Olivia, and all the other guys waved back at her.
You got me again, Paige. Xander thought.
Let's not cross paths again, Xander. Paige said to herself as she left.
