I need your help. I'll walk you home. - Pierre Valentine
Paige received a message as she was about to enter her last class.
Sure. See you at the front gate in an hour. - Paige Collins
A situation where I am needed... Hmm... Is this related to Xander or... Why are you thinking about him?? Paige mentally slapped herself and decided to listen to the discussion in class.
However, she found herself replaying the recent reunion she had with Xander.
Because why the hell did I let that happen?! Just why, Paige. Now you can't get it off your head.
Knowing herself, she knows that it will probably take awhile before she forgets all about it. Knowing herself, she knows that she probably won't be able to focus on anything as of the moment and trying will just make it harder for her. So finally, she decided to let herself be.
He hasn't changed at all. Still great at lying and acting.
"I missed you" She replayed in her head what Xander said. And again, "I missed you." and thought of a different one. "That song wasn't for you."
That's how you fucking make a person insane. You play with their emotions. Damnit. I wish I didn't have one. It is very foolish that I am letting myself be bugged by these lies, yet, I just can't seem to stop it. My emotions are going crazy since that was the first time we met after we broke up 5 months ago. Maybe 5 months is not really long? Maybe it is not really long for someone who has many replacements. It's only long for the lonely ones. Yes, self pity. This is where I am good at. Ugh.
Paige sighed loud and long enough for her class to pause from it's discussion.
"Do you follow, Ms. Collins?" Their teacher asked.
Not feeling her seatmate's poke beside her, Paige continued to look outside the window hopelessly.
"Paige." Her seatmate called her silently and tugged her shirt harder.
"Hm? ah, yea. Yes, Sir." She replied to the class with droppy eyes and mouthed Thank You to Nathan who sent a warm smile at her.

"Why do you always have to look good when visiting other schools?" Paige says as she approached the guy leaning agains the wall, who she assumes to be Pierre.
"Well, you'll never know when you'll meet babes-" Pierre stopped mid-sentence as he realized that it was actually an insult rather than a compliment.
"Are you saying that I just look nice when I'm visiting and not all the time??" Pierre feigned hurt and creates sobbing sounds.
"Hey, stop." Paige tried and Pierre acted louder making other people look their way.
"Stop, Pierre, Aisshhh" Paige pinches a small part of Pierre's forearm.
As a result, Pierre's fake sobs turned into "Ow, Ah, Ah!!!" And Paige let's go of his skin.
"I told you to stop."
"Yea, Yea." Pierre responds as he soothes his attacked skin by rubbing it.
As soon as they started walking, Pierre started to discuss his agenda.
"My 'lil sis is dating." He tells Paige.
"And? What's wrong with that?" Paige was confused.
"My little sister is just 15." He deadpanned.
"I started dating at 15." Paige reminded him.
"And?" Pierre sensed a continuation of the statement, and he knew what it was.
"I... regret it."
And as if on cue, Pierre laughed hysterically, almost tripping on the side walk.
"Aish!" Paige gritted her teeth and Pierre zipped his mouth, but once again, he bursted laughing.
Oddly, he stood up straight and has a serious expression on his face.
"Now you know why I don't want her to date. I don't want her to end up like you. No offence."
"None taken."
Both remained silent for awhile as they continued walking down the street.
"You know, I pitied you when I heard learned that Xander was seeing you. But then I saw him happy, and when I met you, you were also happy. For real, he was enjoying his life. Then everything went down the hill. Shit happened." Pierre tells Paige for he sensed the negative aura that was brought uo by the conversation earlier.
"You can't stop your sister if she really wants to date. You know why? Simple reason. You can't stop someone who has already decided what she wants to do. Many tried to discourage me, but they never stopped me, because I knew what I wanted and I was determined to get it. No matter how much you try to change her view about the guy she wants, there's no guarantee that she will listen because she'll hold on to what she think she knows. She's blinded by the "love" thing."
Pierre had a puzzled expression on his face, Paige said a lot and she's quite unsure if everything she said was related to one another so she decided to shorten it by saying, "The best you can do is to protect her, not stop her."
"Ethan Pierce, do you know him?" Pierre asked.
"Oh, him. Uhm, he is very very good with girls. Also, isn't he like my age? So your sister is dating a guy who is 2 years older than her?"
"Yep."
"Oh, I don't uhm.. Maybe you can talk to her?" Paige was running out of ideas since she realized her situation is like hers. 15 and 17. In love and Naive. Average school girl and Mr. Popular.
"I tried, she dug up my past on how I played girls' hearts and she slapped each and every information on my face. It made me less believable." Pierre expressed hopelessly.
"I can talk to her if you want."
"Yes please..." Pierre responds with a slight tinge of red on his cheeks as he scratched his forehead.
"Aww, you're such a softy big brother." Paige tiptoed to reach Pierre's hair and messed it up.
Pierre was staring into her light brown eyes, but she didn't notice. Paige was caught up in the "softy big brother" idea.
Pierre looks cute when he is vulnerable, specifically, when he is doing his brother duties. Paige thought.
Pierre went from a shy smile to a grin. He took Paige's hand from his hair and put it down. He decided not to prolong the "scene" for it was making him feel things he'd rather not talk about and Paige might catch him staring, that would be embarrassing and awkward. He thought.
"Thank you for time, Paige." He says as they reach her front door.
"Nah, it's my duty as a friend and your duty as a big bro." She winked before waving him goodbye.
"Please don't "big bro" me" Pierre requested with a disgusted look displayed on his face.
"Sure, Big bro." Paige laughed as she went in the house.
Today's a nice day. She thought.
