Choosing Him

"You ready (Y/N)?" Jon yells out through the door "I think Tommys getting impatient. He's just staring at your wall!"

"Yes, just one!" I open the door "sec. So how'd I look?"

I'm wearing dark jeans with a red off-the-shoulder top and a denim jacket. Not to forget my fake black converse.

I look over to see Tommy, looking like he is having a staring contest with the wall. I giggle, and he snaps out of it, realising I am out.  Jon nods his head towards my door and we walk out, talking about random things. Waiting for the time to pass and for us to arrive at Corys house.

When we get there Cory answers the door. A taller guy behind him, he looks like an older version of Cory.

"Hey Cory. Hello" I say

"Hey (Y/N), this is my dad" Cory replies.

"Come on! I'm gonna win at everything!" Tommy yells, pushing past.

"TOMMY! plus I mean, Nick is here!" Jon yells "Excuse me" He walks into the room. I stay standing there, not knowing what to do.

"Oh, yeah, dad. It's (Y/N)'s birthday the day after mine!" Cory speaks up, motioning for me to come in. Everyone seems so comfortable, like this is their second home.

"Really?!?" His dad looks from Cory to me, his eyes widen as if a light blub was flicked on inside his head "Umm, well Cory, (Y/N) can you follow me for a second?"

We nod and blindly follow him into a room. A room that looks like it's been locked for years.

"What's your mothers name?" He questions me

"Camilla, why?" I ask.

He turns on the light. I look around, seeing lots of photos that look like my mum when she was younger. I see a cot in the corner. Above the cot I see one photo that stands out from the rest.

It is a photo of a perfect family. A mother, a father and two little children around the age of 2. One girl, one boy. The mother looks like my mum. The father like Cory's dad. The boy like Cory and the girl like me. But when we were all younger.

My heart drops at the realization. Is his dad saying that... that he's my dad? Is he saying that Cory is my brother?

"We're brother and sister?" Cory asks before I can say anything.

"NO!" They look at me "I mean, we're not just brother and sister. We're born on the same weekend, the same year" I let that information sink into Cory's brain.

"I'VE GOT A TWIN!"

Jon's POV

I'm just sitting here watching Tommy, Uni and Ashlie getting smashed by Nick in some random game when I hear Cory yell

"I'VE GOT A TWIN!"

Everyone looks up, and around at each other.

"He what?" I spoke softly, confused. We all paused the game, put down the controllers and quickly walked to where the noise came from.

The door everyone knew they weren't allowed through was wide open. I looked back at the others, everyone's faces showing them to be just as confused as me. We slowly walk closer, careful as if not to get caught, just in case.

I look around the corner to see Cory, his dad and (Y/N) in the room, hugging.

"Is everything alright?" I ask, stepping in properly, as they look at me.

"We're twins" Cory bursts into tears.

(Y/N) POV

After a while of hugging, my phone goes off. I let it ring for a while, until everyone has given me room to move, and then I grab my phone out of my pocket and answer.

"Hello?" I answer

"Hello, this is Tracy, I work with your mother" the voice of Tracy replies "she told me to tell you she would be away for a little longer than normal and has put some extra money into your account"

"Oh" I sigh "Cool, thanks, bye" I say and hang up before she can say anything else.

I had wondered my way into the corner of the room, so I turn around to see everyone staring at me. My eyes go straight to Cory, and as if I'd known him as my brother my whole life. I walked over to him and gave him a huge hug, digging my head into his shoulder.

We stay like this for a while as everyone else begins to chat. I eventually pull away and look around at everyone, I notice someone in the room who I have never seen before. He just looks at me.

"Who's he?" I whisper to Cory.

"Your brother"

"What?"

"He's my brother, so that makes him yours too" Cory finishes telling me.

"So I got a twin brother and a normal brother in the same day?" I smile.

"Yup" Cory replies and I go hug my other brother.

"Well, I'd love to stay but I do have to go now, so I'll see you later" He gives me a quick hug then says goodbye to everyone else.

Once he's gone I start saying, "well although today has been an amazing day, I think I need a re..." And everything blacks out.
