Chapter Five

We both went home after that, as soon as I got home it was around 10pm. I decided to feed my pets, and after I would lay in my bed and watch Netflix. After I finished feeding them, I sat down in my bed and grabbed my phone. I saw I was receiving a call from Alex, I answer the phone.

"Hello?" I answer confused why she called. There was a lot of background noise, like a party.

"H-*hic*hey sista!" I listen to her confused, then realize.

"Alex, are you drunk?" I hear her laugh.

"Gurl, I don't know whatcha talkin about. I'm perfectly fine *hic* see, here talk to my friend Charlie, he can *hic* tell you the story." She laughs, as she gives the phone to the familiar name.

"Hello?" I once again asked confused not sure who this person is.

"Hello.." he says with a low monotone voice, "You must be the Rylee I've been hearing so much about.."

"I guess so, and you are?"

"Charlie," he says hesitating the last part, "Charlie Lockwood.." I gulp hearing the name and put down the phone. Oh my God.. He isn't lying.. Or is he? Now I must find out.

"Oh okay, well Charlie please take good care of my sister."

"Will do ma'am." I hang up the phone and think. He is so polite, but yet he is a robber.. I grew more and more confused so decided to give up thinking too much about it, and went to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing on the bed side table next to me. I grab my phone and see the adorable picture of me and Gage, and the notification of him calling me 27 times.. I take my phone off the charger and call him back. He answers as soon as I press the call button.

"Hello?!" He answers panicky.

"Hey.. what's wrong?" I grow even more confused then I was the night before.

"Oh thank God you're okay!" He sighed with relief.

"Gage." I say his name seriously.

"Yes?"

"Tell me what's wrong." He sighs.

"I got a call from my brother, ya know, Charlie? He said he had the chance to talk to you last night.. As soon as I heard that I had to make sure you were okay." I secretly smile.

"Aww, you really care that much about me huh?"

"Very.."

"This is why I love you." He chuckles.

"I love you too, now really are you okay?"

"Yes I'm fine, I was just worried about my sister."

"It's okay, my brother has his moments, but when it comes to girls, he acts just like me." I smile, knowing he's probably right. I then realize my sister was super drunk when I hung up with her and had no one to take care of her.

"Oh no.."

"What's wrong now?"

"Alex was super drunk last night, she has never done that before and your brother was supposed to take care of her. I have to call and see if she is okay." Gage nods and lets me call. I hang up and call Alex. I hear a male voice answer the phone.

"Hello?" His voice sounded tired.

"Charlie?"

"Yeah.."

"Did you do what I asked?"

"Yes ma'am, I slept on the couch last night, I think Alex is still sleeping." I sigh of relief.

"Thank god.. Please, keep her safe till I get there. I'm also going to be bringing someone else."

"Okay." I hang up and hop in the shower. After my shower, I put on a white crop top with jean shorts, and a sweater cover up my grandfather gave to me, he used to wear it. I throw my long brown hair up into a messy bun, giving no hecks. I drive to Gage's house and he stands outside, I wave to come on and he hops in the car. I then drive a whole 30 mins to my sisters house. When we get there I go up to the door and knock, after a second knock my hungover sister opens the door. She looked terrible, her hair was in several rat nests, she had dark bags under her eyes, and she had a strong smell of alcohol and liquor. I look at her and hesitate a hug and think it's better if I don't. I walk into her house and see that it is still clean. I look at Gage while holding Alex's hand.

"Hey baby? Can you go find Charlie while I take Alex upstairs for a shower?" He nods and walks away on the search for his brother. I push Alex upstairs and into her room. I push her into the bathroom and she lays on the bathroom rug in a fetus position. I roll my eyes by her childness and turn on the faucet for water to run in the tub. After it gets almost full with bubbles I pick Alex up and help her get undressed. I then help her into the tub and lay her down. I decide to let her rest in the tub a bit before I help wash her up. I go downstairs to see Gage and Charlie talking, surprisingly civilly. I go over to them and stand next to Gage, in front of Charlie. Charlie grabs my hand and kisses it.

"So this is the beautiful Princess Rylee I've heard so much about." I blush a little red and pull away my hand quickly. Gage gets a little annoyed and brings me closer.

"Ah chill bro, I ain't gonna steal your girl." He winks and whispers in my ear, "yet.." I feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end and I hug Gage's arm scared. He looks down at me and kisses my forehead.

"Don't worry, I won't let him do anything to you." I nod. I finally go back upstairs to help Alex finish getting out of the tub. I then help her get dressed and put makeup on. She begins to feel better as she sits down on the couch and I sit next to her. Gage and Charlie sit on the couch in front of us. Alex rests her head on my lap, and I brush her hair as she lays there tiredly. Gage looks at me as we all sit with each other awkwardly.

"So how long have you two been together now?" Charlie says breaking the silence. Me and Gage look at each other then both say at the same time.

"Two months." we say in perfect unison

"Huh," Charlie sighed, "would be a shame if somebody broke that." I nod in a agreement. In my opinion Charlie creeps me out. Scared I decide to get up and go to my old room in the house. After mom and dad moved out, Alex decided to keep the old place. So my old room was still furnished with posters and a comfortable bed that I sat on. I looked around the room at all the old memories until I heard the door open and close. I see Charlie walk in and he sits next to me placing his hand on mine. I look at him awkwardly and pull my hand away. He grabs my hand back and pulls me close to him and begins making out with me. He removes his lips from mine for a minute and gasp for breath and look at him tears forming.

"Get off of me please," he smirks and shushes me. He pushes me down on the bed and I cry, my muffled whimpers can not be heard. My eyes begin to burn from crying as more and more happened. Next thing I know, he begins to take off my clothes. He pulls my shirt off and I shake my head and push him away terrified of what he might do.

"Go away!" after I pushed him away his hand were off my mouth and I yelled. Charlie backs up and shakes his head upset. I hear Gage and Alex run up the stairs and Alex opens the door to see me in tears and runs and hugs me. She grabs me while I cry on to her t-shirt and rubs my head. Gage grabs Charlie and asks to talk to him outside the room. After that Gage came in a hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.." He also began to cry with me and Alex left the room for some privacy. I sniffle and Gage puts his hands on my face and forces me to look at him in the eye.

"Tell me exactly what happened." He says in a very stern tone. I nod and as he wipes my tears.

"I came up here cause I was scared of him and I thought I'd be more comfortable up here.. Then he walked in and grabbed my hand, Gage I swear I pulled away.. I swear I did... but then he pushed me over on the bed and made out with me. I couldn't do anything... I'm so sorry Gage.. I'm so sorry." I sob. He nods and pulls me close.

"It's okay, I know it wasn't you Ry.." He cradles me and he lays down. I lay down next to him with my head on his chest, he then rubs my head and brushes my hair with his fingers. I fall asleep.
