The moment you received the file, you tried really hard to contain your feelings. You slowly pulled the certificate from the file, and you saw the letters. The letters of doom.

Your heart sank deeper. Took a deep breath, thinking that it would help.

Didn't see the first letter of the alphabet. Neither the second letter.

You're doomed, you wondered.

Voices sailed past you. You could hear voices but the content? Nah, you were too overwhelmed.

Was it disappointment? Regret? Anger? Upset? Heartache? Discontent? Or is it a mixture of everything?

When will this end?

Voices again.

You could hear your friends talking eagerly with your teachers about their future.

While you were trying so hard to breathe. You could feel your heart breaking.

Self-disappointment.

Finally, you had the chance to talk to your teacher.

You asked him, "I can't go anywhere with this, can I?"

You showed him the piece of paper.

"Of course you can still try. Depends on the course that you are interested in, (Y/N)" He replied politely.

You still didn't feel good. You didn't get the assurance you wanted. Your eyes were starting to tear. You were starting to fall apart.

Wait, where is my brother?

You suddenly remembered. You scanned the entire hall for him.

Suddenly, you saw a figure running towards you. That's him.

You needed him so badly and you immediately ran to him as well.

He opened up his arms to embrace you and you accepted it without hesitation.

Everything fell all of a sudden.

Not the paper or the file, water.

Salty.

Tears.

Couldn't speak. Became a mess.

"I did terrible, I'm really sorry. I'm sorry," you cried, still hugging him.

He stayed silent and then he spoke.

"It's okay. I'm here. Cry all you want if that makes you feel a lot better," he told you while caressing your hair gently.

You cried even harder, your tears fell on his jacket.

"(Y/N), everything will be fine. Let's get through this together, alright?" He spoke.

You were still sobbing while clinging onto him.

"I tried my hardest though and it's still not enough..." You cried.

"It's okay, love. I'll support you all the way. Okay, you're making me tear up also. Who's cutting onions here?!" He joked and you laughed.

"That's my girl," he smiled.

"I wanna go home and sleep the pain away," you whined.

"Why sleep when you can go out with me now?" He asked in a serious manner.

"But I thought that you were the one who told me to sleep whenever I feel like it?" you retorted playfully.

"Let's go and have desserts," he said and held your hand.

"You just need to have more faith in yourself and be confident in your abilities. Your dream is never far away although it may seem far now," he added in a comforting tone.
