Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this. I'm sorry it's short and bad, it's the first chapter! The second will be much better, I promise. They are twenty four by the way.

Annabeth and Percy are twenty four.

Annabeth's POV

I am in my cabin, studying the Principle of Superposition, when I hear the door creak open. Scared, I draw my dagger and point it at the door. I am about to scream for help when Percy appears from behind the door. "Oh my gods, Percy. You scared me to death!" I say. "Is that any way to talk to your seaweed brain?" He says jokingly. "Yes." I say, running at him and smothering him in a hug. "Whoa, no need to squeeze me that hard, wise girl." I say nothing and bury my head in his chest. He smells nice. Like seawater, or the beach. "Annabeth, do you wanna go on a date tonight? A picnic on the beaches of Long Island Sound?" "First of all, wanna isn't a word. And to answer your question, yes. What time?" "Be ready at seven, wise girl." He whispers into my hair. He lets go of me and leaves. I sigh. "I need some help." I say to myself. And the kind of help I need can only be found in one place: the Aphrodite cabin.

Ten minutes ago, I asked the Aphrodite children to help me with my date with Percy. And I am seriously regretting it. "Piper, she needs a green dress!" "No, blue!" "She doesn't need a dress. Maybe a nice shirt and pants." That last girl had the right idea. Soon I was dressed in a green shirt with black jeans, my hair done in a braid. "She needs makeup!" "She's ugly without makeup!" Wow, thanks for the self-esteem. "She's fine!" Yells Piper. "Annabeth, let's go to your cabin." As soon as we get there, Piper shuts the door and locks it. "Is he gonna ask?" She asks excitedly. "Gonna is not a word. And ask what?" "You know, the question." "What question? You're not making sense!" Then I hear a knock on the door. "Hey, are you ready, wise girl?" It's Percy. "I'm going to go." I say. Piper nods and opens the door. "There you are. Let's go!" He says. "Okay." I say, smiling as he takes my hand and leads me to the beach.

Percy POV

It's all ready. The ring and everything. I just need to ask... I feel my palms begin to sweat. Oh my gods, Percy! You fought Kronos! You can't ask a girl a simple question? But Annabeth is not just any girl, and the question is not that simple. Ok, Percy. You can do this. I knock on Annabeth's cabin door and say "Hey, are you ready, wise girl?" She opens the door and I see the most beautiful girl in existence. Annabeth is wearing her hair in a braid, and a green top with black jeans. I say "There you are! Let's go!" She smiles and replies "Okay." I take her hand and lead her to the beach.

On the beach, there is a picnic blanket and a basket of food. We sit down on the blanket and open the basket. Annabeth peeks in. "Pizza, seaweed brain? For a romantic date you bring pizza?" She laughs. "It's your favorite, extra olives..." I tease her by holding a piece of pizza in front of her and pulling it away when she tries to grab it. "Get your own." I tease her as she tries to grab my slice again. "But this piece is touched by PERCY JACKSON, the Kronos fighting, monster slaying, Styx dipping hero!" I laugh, and while I'm distracted she steals my pizza and takes a bite. "Hey!" She laughs, and while she's distracted, I steal the pizza back and take a bite. This goes on for a while, but soon we are done with the pizza. "Annabeth..." I say. "Yeah, seaweed brain?" She says. "I love you, and I just wanted to know..." I produce a slim black velvet box from my pocket and open it. "Will you marry me?"
