I was right. Cora, going after Aiden in the boys' locker room, Lydia having to watch and unable to stop him as he held a weight, about to swing it at Cora, who was on her knees, when I used both arms to catch it, the only thing Cora being able to see was the triskele tattooed on the back of my right hand, causing Cora, Lydia and Aiden to notice me.

Aiden, completely shifted, growled loudly at me, in my face, trying to push the weight in my chest when I pivoted enough to where it missed, and I pushed it into his chest, then up to his chin, knocking his head up until one of his feet kicked mine out from under me, and I fell toward the floor in front of Cora, and he was about to swing it on me . . .

Cora's arm wrapped around me, spinning me behind her, taking the blow herself when Aiden hit her head, kicked her away, and when he tried to make it come down on me, I used both hands to catch it above my head.

"Aiden, stop!" Lydia yelled, going to Cora's side.

Ignoring her, Aiden tried to push it down harder . . .

I pushed it back up, rising from the floor and spinning to where the weight fell next to me, and then . .  .

Someone caught one of his arms before he hit me, but he kicked me, down as someone caught me as I fell. I didn't see his face, but someone told me it had been Scott, and Aiden growled as he came closer to me, the weight above his head, and then Scott let go to stand and grab one of Aiden's arms while Ethan grabbed the other.

"Stop!" Ethan yelled. "Stop! You can't do this!“

"She came at me!" Aiden yelled back, nodding toward Cora.

"It doesn't matter! Kali gave Derek until the next full moon. You can't touch him or them."

Ethan then pulled Aiden away as Scott came back to my side, and Stiles went to Lydia and Cora's.

"Hey, guys, I think she's pretty hurt."

Scott started to help me up when I held out my hand to stop him, going over to the sinks next to Cora, who was wiping her own blood away.

"You guys okay?" Scott asked.

"Cora doesn't look okay," Lydia said.

"I'll heal," Cora stated, still sounding cold.

She stepped away from the sink, and almost fell, and I caught her arm.

"I said I'm fine."

"Do you guys realize how suicidally crazy that was?" Stiles asked. "What were you thinking going after them?"

"I didn't go after them," I said. "I was trying to stop Cora."

Scott looked at me in surprise while Cora said, "I did it for Boyd. None of you were doing anything."

"We're trying," Scott said.

"And you're failing. You're just a bunch of stupid teenagers running around, thinking that you can stop people from getting killed. But all you do is show up late. All you really do is find the bodies."

Cora started to walk away, and I sighed as Stiles said, "She's definitely a Hale." I tilted my head at him with an annoyed glare, and he said, "Sorry. I'll make sure they get home."

"We don't need a babysitter," I said as we walked after her.

"Tara, she looks like she's gonna pass out and just tried to kill an Alpha monster twin while you surprisingly tried to stop her from killing the Alpha monster twin by getting into a fight with the Alpha monster twin. I think you do."
