"Remember when you told me to jump off the astronomy tower?"
"I told you not to jump off the astronomy tower, and you told me not to tell you what to do- then you jumped off," the sound of voices on the train seemed to be carried over the noises of the train on the tracks- Elena raised her eyebrows in question at the conversation. Why would someone jump off the astronomy tower? Must be bloody mad, she stared down at the book in her hand, trying to ignore what other conversations could be going on.
"Oh. Well. At least we know when I don't listen-"
"Mate, you never listen," followed a third voice, with a hint of amusement.
Elena snorted at the sound of the conversation, amused at the fact that she could hear what they all seemed to be saying- or the mere fact that they all were talking too loud. "Could you guys, I don't know, maybe quiet down a little?" She spoke out loud, her voice slightly soft like a melody but held more of a small gruff sound too it. "What the-" "How did she-" "Is that a girl?" The last statement seemed to make Elena short, causing her to raise her eyebrows. The sound of feet shuffling on the other side of the wall could be heard, and the sound of bodies falling on the floor.
"Hey! I finally get that muggle quote, "Let the bodies hit the floor!"
"Sirius, that is not what that means- now get off you oaf," someone grunted out, the sound of groaning following after. Someone must have gotten hit, she shook her head while closing the book and placing it beside her politely in the stea beside her. Her blue eyes focused on the clear glass sliding doors, watching as three figures seemed to appear. "May I help you?" She asked with a bored expressionon her blank face, her dirty blonde hair falling in her face.

James, Sirius, and Remus all three stood at the door of a compartment with their eyes on a young girl- who looked to be in the same year as them; fifth year.
"Should we go in?" Sirius whispered, with his face pressed up to the glass of the compartment- his breath fogging up the glass. "Oi, mate, stop you look stupid," Remus muttered while raising his hand and smacking the back of the lad's head. "I'm not stupid, you are," Sirius grumbled, rubbing at the back of his head- his hair already becoming a wild tangled mess that it always seemed to be.
"I hope you three realize I can see you, and hear you," the girl spoke again with her blue eyes on all 3/4 of the marauders- her stare never seeming to waver from them. It felt like they were kind frozen in place, except for Sirius- "I like her. She's got some spunk to her. Can we keep her?" He looked up at James and Remus with a bit of a smirk on his lips.
"Did he just ask if you guys could keep me?" The girl asked with perfectly sculpted eyebrows, her shoulders held back with the right type of posture.
"Yes, yes he did. I apologize for him- he's a bit mad." Remus said with an apologetic smile, while James patted Sirius on the back. "Prongs, are you going to let moony talk to me like that?" Sirius asked with a timid expression on his face. "Yes," James spoke the word, a small smirk making its way upon the young man's lips; watching as Sirius started to fan mock hurt.

Elena watched with raised eyebrows as they all stood there speaking to one another, which gave her time to study them. The one on the far right seemed to be tall and lanky with unruly black hair- hazel eyes seemed to peer out at her with a look of interest- as if she was being studied too. She moved onto the middle of the group where a male stood at the same height as tall and lanky, but this one had more build- and muscle to him. His black hair seemed to be fanned out around him, with dark eyes peering out at him. His meticulous grin seemed to strike a nerve in her, getting a wild vibe from him. Her eyes soon went to the far left of the small group, focusing on a short but not-so short version of tall and lanky; but this one had mousy colored brown hair, brown eyes to go along with his natural look- but what seemed to stand out the most is the scars over his face; which seem to sculpt his face.
She tore her eyes away from his face, when she felt him turn his on her; now it was her turn to be studied. She did not quite like the feeling of eyes on her, her eyes drifted to the ground. "May we come in?" Remus spoke up with a polite tone, one that seemed to be filled with more a promise but proper conversation. "Sure, why not?" She spoke as she looked back up, looking around the compartment that she liked to keep empty. It was more of the fact that she did not have many friends- she didn't dare talk to many people. She would never wish her parent's judgment upon anyone- her parents seemed to always judge the people their daughter has grown accustomed too.
The sliding door slid open as each boy piled into the room, sitting on the other seats together. "I'm Sirius Black, but if you like- you could call me your next boyfriend?" The one with shoulder length black hair spoke, causing Elena to purse her lips together. "No. But I can gladly curse you if another one of those one-liners," she spoke with slight ice in her voice, sitting back as she watched the guy's mouth drop open.
"Oh my.."
"Did she just-"
"Yes. She rejected you. Now close your mouth Sirius, your going to catch flies." The one with glasses spoke with an amused expression, turning his gaze on Elena- starting to introduce each of them. "Well, you know Sirius, the one being quiet and is possibly the most responsible would be Remus, and I'm James- we do have a fourth one, but he's a bit mousy; he would be Peter. " She nodded at each of their names, her eyes rested on Sirius who just seemed to be pouting. "Katherine. But I prefer to be called Elena- it's my middle name," she added. She truly despised the name Katherine, it was her great- grandmothers name; but she simply preferred Elena.
"I know you! You're in Slytherin, the girl with her head always in a book? Right?" Sirius bursted out, eyes wide with excitement.
Elena raised her eyebrows. "Yes, that's me. I'm always in the library.. How would you.."
Now all eyes were on Sirius who seemed to be blushing bright red at the moment, rubbing at the back of his neck with his hand. "I might, possibly, go into the library, and see you there sometimes.." He admitted sheepishly.
Remus and James seemed to be shocked at the fact that Sirius has gone into a library. "Mate, you read?" "You know what a library is?" Those questions seemed to pull Sirius out of his embarrassment, causing him to glare at the two. "Oi, you guys, I know how to read and I know exactly what a library is - after looking up what it was in muggle studies." He spoke, but looked away at that last part.
Elena jumped at the sound of the whistle from the train head, turning her gaze to out the window. "Oh, boy, looks like we are home. I guess you guys can leave now," she stated while looking back at them as confusion crossed their faces.
"I have to change into my robes. Get out!" She stated, watching as they all ran out of the compartment- Sirius scrambling to shut the door.
