Nikki POV
Mr. Nobody loaded the three of us into a government vehicle. He had Hobbs next to him so he was the furthest from Shaw. So I was the "lucky" one that got stuck with the Brit.
"So, uh...where's your sidekick?" I asked, a poor attempt to diffuse the tension between the man across from me and the one beside me.
"Getting the rest of your team, my orders of course," he gave me that signature Nobody smile.
"Where is he taking 'em? I'm guessing same place we're going."
"Nowhere." There's that smile again. "How was your time on the inside again?"
"Not as fun as the first time. You gotta give less help next time you get us out. Cause, I'm just saying, it woulda been a lot more fun with more guards and better weapons. And, ya'know, not rubber bullets," I grinned "And give us more time in there. Watching these two having a bitch fight was the funniest thing I've seen in months, and it was cut too short cause of you, man."
I could see Deckard look at me out of the corner of my eye. It took everything in me not to look back. As much as I hate the dude, he's a good looking little fucker. Plus, seeing him taking out all the guys he did and just seeing him in action is one the sexiest things I've ever seen. And I'm friends with Megan Ramsey. That's hard to beat, and yet, he did it. As if Hobbs could read my mind, he kicked me in the foot. When I looked at him, I realized it was for the bitch fight comment and grinned at him.
"I'll make note of that." Mr. Nobody was practically a father to me, so the wink he threw at me after that comment was nothing new. The man tensing up next to me, however, was. I gave him a quick glance to see why the hell he tensed up, but he was staring straight at Nobody across from him, clenching his jaw.
I felt the car jolt to a stop and Nobody lead us out and into a large facility building. He gave the three of us a change of clothes. After changing, he took me and Hobbs to a room with our team sitting around a table. The room was made of glass and there was a TV at the front of the room.
"Welcome to Nowhere." Mr. Nobody opened the door for us and started greeting the rest of the team, "Thank you for comi- why are they in handcuffs?"
His sidekick looked confused, "You told me to round them up."
"Not to cuff 'em and treat them like- just get the cuffs off."
Letty lifted the cuffs with two fingers, she clearly picked the lock on them, and dropped them onto the table, "This how you treat old friends?"
"Ace?" I stared at my best friend in shock. "What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were done with all of this?" I ran over as soon as the cuffs were off and hugged her.
"Our buddy's kid or whatever over there grabbed me from my house. Didn't have much of a choice, but hey, just means we get to go back to the good old days right?" She said with a laugh.
