Deep Thought

We see but do not capture,

We drink but do not savor.

We eat but do not taste,

We breathe but in this haste;

We make time an eternal waste.

Among ourselves, we see each other fall,

but we have no knowledge of it at all.

We fail to do what we're intended,

to live our lives fully extended.

Now, our lives are like a song,

Going, going, going, gone.

At first, a pure, sure sound of forever happiness.

But at the end, comes a dull, monotonous awkward silence.

As if, we know we're finding something.

But to our dismay,

What we find is less likely to

Show us-

The truth.
