You sipped on your drink as you headed back to your apartment. You kept your head down and looked at your phone. You always got spooked by making eye contact with strangers. You typed away, writing some bullshit to seem like you're actually busy.

You were almost home when it started to rain, tiny droplets splattering your clothes. You decided that the rain wasn't harsh enough to get a taxi yet.

You kept walking and saw the same guy sitting in the same place. It started to rain heavier and heavier as you got closer to him, and he looked cold and afraid. You debated on helping him. The worst that could happen is he murders you, right?

You approached him and lightly tapped his shoulder. He jumped, whipping his head up to look at you. It was hard to see his face with the rain and his hoodie.

"Hello, I'm (y/n). You looked cold, do you want to hang out in my place? I can make you some hot chocolate," you said quietly, still afraid of what could happen.

He looked at you for a while before he said yes and stood up.
