When I wake up the next morning I'm still in Ashley's bed and I smile at memory of last night. It was full of giggles and kisses and more giggles. And a boat load of cookies and toffee popcorn.
I stretch and feel my backside touch something. Turning around I feel my heart thump as I see Ashley.
She still looks amazing. Her face has no makeup on and it's red and blotchy and beautiful. Some of her blonde hair is resting on her peaceful face while the rest of it falls behind her. Her arm is resting on my side letting her hand is laying on my stomach.
I turn around as best as I can in Ashley's arms so I face her. We're so close I can feel her heavy breath on my skin. I take my hand to brush the fringe of her face. Her face scrunches up before she sighs peacefully and has a light smile on her face.
I move my hand to her arm on my hip and start tracing words until her eyes flutter open and she groans rolling onto her back and using her arm that was resting on my waist to cover up her eyes. She groans and faces me again.
"Morning beautiful." She smiled making me giggle.
"Hi, sleepyhead."
"What time is it?" She asked rubbing his eyes. I shrugged still looking at her.
"I'm not sure, my phone is in the guest room," I say and she lifts my hand looking at my watch.
"Your watch is broken." She observes and I nod already knowing that. "Why are you wearing it then?"
"Reminds me that I have to go and fix it," I say as she intertwines our hands and drapes them on her stomach.
"But you haven't fixed it yet." She snorts in a smart tone.
"Yes but I now remember that I have to," I state and she ends that part of the conversation knowing it will be a never ending argument.
"Isn't a broken watch like unlucky?" She questions.
"I'm pretty sure it's fine," I say back.
"No, I'm like pretty sure it's like seven years of bad luck."
I shake my head and chuckle. "That's mirrors idiot." She pouts.
"I'm not an idiot." She says giving me looking at me with puppy dog eyes.
"Yea you are." I giggle tormenting her. She nudges closer to me making our noses touch.
"I think you should take that back." She whispers moving her hands to my sides.
"You wanna make me?" I whisper against her lips. In a swift move, Ashley has me on my back and is sitting on top of my waist. She smirks down at me. She starts leaning down and I think she's gonna kiss me but no.
"Oh, my goSH! STOP ASHLEY!" I scream in between laughs as she tickles me mercilessly.
"Say I'm not an idiot." She says tickling me relentlessly.
"Never." I declare in between laughs. She looks down at me eyebrows raised.
"Fine. Then say you're an idiot." I shake my head at her suggestions and she moves her tickles move closer to hips and I cave in.
"Fine! Fine! I submit Ashley!" And she stops tickling. There's a five-second silence and I realize that she waiting for me to say it. I sigh loudly.
"I'm an idiot," I say melodramatically. She looks at me and I realize why. I roll my eyes and say it. "You're not an idiot Ashley." She smiles widely.
"I didn't notice you wearing that last night." She says nodding at the pink silk bonnet on my head.
"Oh." I say simply. "Do you want me to take it off?"
