What if I didn't have to worry about who I'll marry
What if I didn't have to wonder
What if I accidentally married one not meant for me
It would be nice if I didn't worry about my destiny
What if i grow up to be that person everyone expects that i'll be
But watch how my brother,
the one who never amounted to anything,
be the one who keeps me standing on my feet
And my sister,
the one who cared too much about the boys,
watch her be the one who takes care of me
Go look in the crystal ball for me,
the girl who always had a future,
struggle to keep it together
'Cause Life and it's twisted humor has us as play-things
And this keeps us from predicting the right future
All we can do is ask
"What If...?"
