Getting Closer

We finished eating breakfast and I decided to clean up around the house. Shad puttered around following me around as I cleaned up the massive mess Garroth had made this morning while cooking. We spoke about what was going on around the village and discussed the issues with the trade roots the village was doing. To me Shad was the most realist, kind person I knew but I did know what he's done but it's like he's another person when he's with me, so kind and caring.

As I finished tidying up I headed up stairs to get dressed and ready for the day and Shad followed me up stairs. I was a bit skeptical at first but when I went to get changed he waited outside without me saying anything. I got dressed and cleaned my teeth then got my sword and bag as we headed out into the village. We didn't walk through the main square because people would freak if they saw me with Shad! We walked on the outskirts of the village avoiding as many people as we could and for the few we saw Shad just disappeared for a moment till it was safe again. When we finally made it to the tree I laid myself out on the grass watching the clouds go by. 

I felt Shad lay next to me and it still shocked me how much happier I am with him around. I don't know what happened to the hate that once flowed through my veins when I heard his name, it just disappeared... just like Aaron... I shook the thought of Aaron away and went back to cloud gazing. We laid there for hours watching the clouds go by. I found us getting closer with every hour that whisked by the connection between us getting deeper. The sun started to set and it started to get cooler, Shad pulled me into his arms as we watched the sun go down. I enjoyed that afternoon more then most would, all the worries shrink when I'm with him I feel like I can just be normal and have fun.

The sun had set and we got ready to go back into the village where I'd be greeted by Garroth freaking out over the fact that I've been gone all day again but it was something I was willing to deal with for Shad. We got back to my house and surprisingly Garroth was no where in sight. I cooked dinner for me and Shad then we end up stairs and called it a day.

That night he never left he stayed by my side all night and his presence brought me the best sleep I've had in a long time nothing but sweet dreams.

Sorry updates are slow I don't always feel like writing and I forget sometimes that I'm writing a book but when I do feel like writing the better the chapters will be. So yeah sorry about the wait but I promise it's much better if you wait instead of getting a rushed and very poor chapter. I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you in the next chapter Byeee❤️
