Luke sat anxiously outside the councils office, he had no clue why he was called which scared him shitless. Worst part, his father was on the council. His kriffing father! So not only is he afraid of the council but he's afraid of his father! Finally, a guard had told him he was allowed to enter.
Luke quickly stood as tall as he could and dust out his cloak, then walked in as professional as he could possibly be. Ever Master sat around and watched Luke carefully, studying him as he stood before the council.
Luke quickly glanced at his father, who kept a straight face, before looking away. "Done something wrong, you have not young Skywalker. Do not fear," Yoda eased the tense boy. Luke slowly felt his muscles relax, but still showed his confusion freely. "Not to be rude, but why exactly had you called me here today Masters, if I had not done anything wrong?" Luke could practically hear his fathers sigh from across the room but ignored it. In this room Anakin was only a council member, nothing more so he payed no special attention to him.
"Choice the council make, assign you a padawan we will," Yoda told Luke. Immediately the Jedi felt as if he was being forced choked, a padawan? No way! He barley was knighted a month ago! No way could he take on a new padawan! "Sense much conflict, I do. Unsure you are," Yoda said as he watched Luke turn red.
"W-Well, I'm not sure if I w-want a padawan...I was barley knighted a month ago....it feels so sudden..an-" Before Luke could finish his sentence, he was cut off by his father, "It does not matter if you were barley knighted, in time you'll learn along with your padawan."
Luke practically had to restrain himself from giving his father a nasty glare. "Master Skywalker is right. I do believe it's time you take on a Padawan," Obi-Wan pipped up, making Luke even more annoyed. Luke thought your masters were suppose to have your back, not throw you under the bus.
"Right, Obi-Wan and Skywalker are," Yoda said, with a smile.
"Fine," Luke sighed, giving up, "When will I get my new Padawan?" Yoda turned to the guards and nodded as if telling them to go. That made him even more confused. Suddenly a little girl, twelve maybe, walked in wearing what looked like scavenger clothing. "You already had one picked out?" Luke asked, feeling annoyed with the council. "This is your new padawan, Rey. We found her on Jakku a few days ago," Mace Windu said, introducing the two.
Luke took a long, good look at the girl and couldn't help but notice something familiar about this girl yet she didn't know what. "Hello," Rey greeted as she held her hand out, which took Luke by surprise. "Er-um-uh-Hi.." Luke shook the girls hand before turning back to the council.
"Complete young Rey training, you will. Dismissed, this meeting is." Luke gave a small bow before walking out of the council room as fast as he could. Unfortunately for him, he forgot he was suppose to actually be with his padawan.
He froze in the middle of the hall to notice his padawan wasn't with him. He stomped all the way back to the council office to see Rey standing confused before grabbing her and dragging her with him, earning a chuckle from his Dad and former master.
Rey giggled as Luke dragged her half across the temple, till they reached their newly shared dorm. "This is where we eat, sleep, and all that other stuff," Luke mumbled as he placed Rey on her bed. In his mind, he was trying to figure out what he was suppose to do, not realising he was staring as his new Padawan.
He could barley make out how small she was, small for her age. She had reminded him for somebody, yet he could figure it out. They probably sat there for a full thirty minutes before Rey stood up which made Luke jump. "Woah, what do you think your doing!" Rey flinched as Luke yelled, "I-I'm hungry....M-Master." Luke let out a long, not needed, sigh. He already failed at this. "Okay, let's go to the cafeteria and get you something to eat," Luke said, giving Rey an apologetic smile. Rey smiled back and nodded as she followed Luke out. "So...Rey, is there anything I should know about you?"
"Uh....I like flying! I'm a good pilot! Also I love fixing things!" Rey said with so much enthusiasm, it made the most enthusiastic person look glum. "Well Rey, I'll have you know I'm a decent pilot myself! Plus fixing things are my area of expertise!" Luke grinned as Rey's eyes lit up. "COOL!"
Once Rey and Luke grabbed their meal and sat down, they talked non stop to each other. Little did they know, two certain Jedi Master's were watching with the biggest smiles on their face ever.
