Chapter 4

November 18, 2009. Living room.

"This is the worst disaster you all have ever done in your lives." there are no words that could describe how mad grandmother is. "All of you are grounded for two weeks. No make it a year."

Everyone of us looked dreadful of not being able to do what we want for the rest of the year. I mean Sofia could have thrown the ring instead of setting the whole place on fire. Grandmother looked at me with frustration, expecting her to sprak on me most especially. "Aren't you hurt?" by surprised she was calm. What do my family know that I don't know about myself?

I never felt so comfortable being asked to how I am, especially coming from my family. "I have never felt better than I do right now." I responded.

"What do you mean?" Annie asked. Of course, Annie and I are the only people who don't understand much behind the secrets of our family.

"I felt stronger." Everyone looked at me. Even mom who's to pour a drink in the glass stopped. My brother Denis put down the pillow he was hugging in the couch. So as Sofia who's trying to retouch her makeup from all the stress. "Can you elaborate what you mean".

"When Denis told me that I was the only one who could stop the fire, I was scared. But then, I was told that..." I looked at mom. I can't even call her my mom when she's there. "- I was told to believe and so I did. Weird things have happened ever since the day I was born. I know I was still a baby but it didn't stop me from feeling the environment that I was in. The recent one was on the day school started. I saw a dayfronder leaf that flew in my room but instead they were-"

"Tiny dwarfs." Queen Letizia finished the sentence for me.

"You knew?" Still, as expected she didn't looked or even glanced at me.

"Everyone in the family has 'em."

"Don't tell her yet." Denis insisted mom.

"Tell Lucy what, Denis." Annie inquisitively asked. Even I don't need to know about it because i think it's making sense now. Even Sofia was quiet, she knows about it already of course.

"We have special abilities that normal people don't have." For a short span of time Sofia was the first one who blurted the family's secret.

"Normal people? You mean like powers." Annie said with sudden confusion. "Do all of us have these powers you're talking about?".

"Sadly no." - Grandmother

"Why not? Besides Lucy ,who has it then?" - Annie

"There are more than 14 kingdoms in the world. Each are blessed with special kind of powers. Differences such as: elements, guardians, psyche, keepers, alchemy, and many more kinds. Whereas when combined all of us are protectors." - Grandmother. Literally everyone was silent for 15 minutes.

"Every kingdom except for one." Grandmother continued. "All members of the family has an ability but for that one kingdom. That kingdom went beyond its boundaries, during the feudal age one king change the constitution from constitutional to absolute. Although neither of the common people know that it'll affect them badly and so will the other 14 kingdoms."

"Which is us? That kingdom who went beyond its boundaries." I knew it.

"Us? I don't understand." Neither Sofia knew about it.

"I don't quite get it either." - Denis.

"Seriously? You all knew about my father but you know nothing about this?" mentioning about my father was the reason my family kept my identity hidden so this has something to do with the problem.
