NOVEMBER 31, 2009.  AT THE PALACE LIBRARY.

"Where would you like to travel for your birthday"

"wait is that for real?"Denis just asked me what I've been wanting. I've never been out of the country and this is such an opportunity.

"Hey look. Not that I fell bad about you it's because we don't celebrate your birthday -" Denis smoothly brush my hair trying to make the perfect ponytail. "- at least not formally. Don't worry Lt. Heyer will be your chaperon during your travel." he added.

"You mean all of you won't be there?" because of dismay, I moved my head out of Denis' hands making my hair look messy.

Denis smiled trying to comfort me. "No. I'll be there. Lt. Heyer will serve as your escort for several days then after Annie's celebration I'd be there for you. "

"but after my birthday."

"Cath we've talked about this. To be frank we - they think of you as a disgrace for unfortunate events." After this conversation everything turned out weird for Denis to answer.

"Then why am I a disgrace?"

"Don't be such a drama queen. What Denis said is a fact and let's just leave it that way." There she goes again. Why is Sofia always there whenever a sibling conflict happens... Then so we started arguing sarcastically.

"Why do you keep appearing when I'm having a private conversation." I blurted.

"Then why do you keep on asking?"

"If you won't stop, I'll tell mom how rude you are to me."

"Go ahead. I'm not afraid. She'll a hundred percent ignore you at any cost."

"Sofia stop it."

"Shut up Denis." Sofia's such a monster disguised in a pretty face.

"I'll tell grandmother how bitch you were at the Casidee's the other day."

"Watch your language. I'm ashamed. I forgot you were raised by maids yet you call yourself a princess."

"First of all, I never called myself a princess. I don't even acknowledge it, so I can say any fuckin' language I want. Second, I'll describe to granny how you bullied the geek in your school to show-off at the party."

Sofia has gone mad pushing Denis out of the room and lock the door. By then we started pulling each others hair not caring about our princess poise. Our arguments turned into a physical fight.

"Don't force me to break the door guys." Neither of us bothered Denis' existence in that scene and our debate continues.

"First of all, don't tell gran. If she knew I was at the party and underage I swear this will be the end of your life. Second, you're not legitimately part of the family. You weren't even named by mom." - Sofia

"That's not true."

"But it is."

"Why don't we both concede to this. Mom also likes you the least because she doesn't treat you the same she treats Annie."

"Shut up."

"Isn't that the reason why she broke up with each of our fathers? Answer me. Aren't you also jealous."

"I pity you because you are a shallow person. Your father is the real monster here, Lucy."

I accidentally pushed Sofia with an unexplained strength.  Even stronger than her grief can reach its limitations. Luckily she didn't hit the wall. We felt a strong presence coming from outside. With just one kick, Denis broke the door.
