zach's father — with another woman he'd probably had more children so i decided to use that.
i came up with the idea of the salvatore's having an aunt, and since vampires have been around for a long time — when she fled home and became a traitor to her father she married and was turned by her husband. when she finds word of her nephews she comes back to mystic falls.
