Summer rolled on by slowly and I spent most of my days waiting to hear from Dominic. We spoke only at night time every night but eventually every night turned into every few days and then once a week. He claimed to be tired after such hard training and as a good girlfriend I understood. He was being trained to be in the army anyway. I sat alone in my room looking through pictures of Dominic and I. I smiled to myself as tears began to stream down my face. I missed him so much. I was dying to feel his warm embrace, to run my hands through his brown curly hair, to kiss his soft pink lips. I knew it would come to this. I knew that our relationship wouldn't last. Not like this. Getting up from my bed, I headed downstairs where I bumped into Aleacha. "Watch where you're going, girl." I told her as she giggled at me. "I just came by to bid you goodbye. I'm leaving for Jamaica today." She said, pulling me in for a hug. I hugged her back tightly. Tears rolling down my face. "Oh god, I'm gonna miss you." I said, my voice hoarsed. "I'm gonna miss you too Simone. Please take care of yourself. I promise to keep in contact with you, okay?" she said as she pulled away and stared into my eyes. "You be safe too, Aleacha. I don't know how I'll make it without you but I'll try my best to do so. I love you." I told her. "I love you too." she said before leaving. I stood at my front door and watched as she drove off. My boyfriend was gone and now was my best friend. My mom slowly rested her hand on my shoulder and squeezed it. "You'll be just fine, honey." I smiled. "Mom, I love you." I said resting my head onto her shoulder. "Aww I know, honey. I love you too my little cuddly kitten." She replied. "Here, i got you this. It's just a small going away gift." She said handing me a white box, neatly wrapped with a beautiful violet ribbon. It read : "To my little college girl. Make every moment last forever" i smiled as i carefully slipped the ribbon off of the box and slowly opened it. I gasped at the contents that were held inside of it. "Mom! You got me a Nikon?! I always wanted one ! Oh my god.." i began, my smile going from ear to ear. "I know, honey. That's why I got you it. Use it to take pictures to at least give your dad and I a little view of Canada while you're gone." I smiled up at my mom. She was really a great mother to me. I knew I'd definitely miss her when I left. "Mom.." I called as I beckoned for her to come closer. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and smiled as I pointed the camera at us both. The first picture to be taken would be my mom and I's.

Today was August 18th, the day I would leave for college. My alarm rang off at 6:30a.m. and I quickly jumped out of bed, not wanting to waste a single moment. Heading for the bathroom I sleepily groaned. I hopped into the shower, washed my hair and brushed my teeth. I spent the next thirty minutes clearing out my tangled mess of hair, drying and straightening it. I quickly threw on the clothes I had so carefully picked out the night before - an off the shoulder, long sleeved red and black striped shirt with a pair of tight fitting black jeans and red flats. I applied my eyeliner and mascara, topping off my look with ruby red lipstick. Flawless. Spinning around in the mirror, I smiled to myself, pleased with what I saw. "Honey! It's 8! We need to get to the airport asap!" My mom yelled, breaking my thoughts. I spun around looking for my cellphone, backpack and suitcase. Grabbing each I hurried down the stairs where i met my mom standing at the front door. I smiled at her. "Morning. Where's dad?" I asked. She rolled her eyes. I instantly knew what that meant. He was either at work or in some woman's bed. I nodded my head and walked through the door as my mom followed behind me, locking the door. My mom and I got into her jeep and in no time we were flying down the highway. "So, honey when last have you heard from Dom?" she asked. My heart sank. It had been three weeks since I had heard from him. "I just spoke to him last night." I said, a fake smile plastered across my face. "Oh, that's great. How is he doing?" "He's great mom." I snapped. My mom just glared at me before shaking her head.

We arrived at the airport around 8:25. Everywhere was busy as usual and my mom seemed to be having a panic attack as my check-in time was nearing. She parked her jeep and we got out, speed walking towards the airport entrance. "Bahamasair, American Airlines, Spirit Airlines. Oh, here we go - AirCanada." The check in line was extremely long and once again, my mom began panicking. Everyone who stood in line scanned me from head to toe and I got quite uncomfortable. Was something in my teeth? Was my make up smudged? Or was I just so damn ugly? I looked down at my feet, wishing i was able to just quietly squeeze myself into my mother's suitcase. "Next in line." The lady at the desk called. She did this seemingly a million times, Finally it was our turn. "Tickets and ID's please?" She asked as my mom handed our tickets and ID's to her. After a few minutes, She handed us our belongings and directed us to the security check point. Forty five minutes later my mom and I were boarding our flight. "Where are your seated, Simone?" " 15b, mom." "Oh shoot. I'm all the way at 9e" Ugh. That meant that i would have to sit with some random stranger. I placed my backpack under my seat after pulling out my ipod and pushing my earphones in my ears. Closing my eyes, I rested my head against my seat. I felt the seat beside me shift. Opening my eyes I peered at the unknown person who sat beside me. He was tall, well built, light skinned, brown hair curly hair that was cut into a fade, with light green eyes. My heart sped up. Holy shit, he's gorgeous!.. and he reminded me of Dom. I sighed. He cleared his throat. " Um, I dont mean to seem rude so since we'll be sitting together for a few hours, how about i introduce myself. My name is Marquis. Marquis McQueen" He spoke in a British accent. I smiled, holding out my hand to shake his, "I'm Simone. It's nice to meet you, Marquis." I said with a smile. BEfore I knew it, marquis and I were deep in conversation. I had found out so many things about him like how we'll be attending the same university. We were already four hours into the flight when the pilot spoke. " Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We will be landing in about five minutes. Flight attendant, please prepare for landing." My smile grew from ear to ear. Finally, we would be landing. "Well, it looks like we're about to land.I really enjoyed conversing with you for the past four hours. I must say that you are a really interesting girl." Marquis told me. I smiled. " Thank you. I enjoyed talking to you as well Marquis and I look forward to seeing you around campus." I told him before reaching down to grab my backpack. The seatbelt sign went on and the flight attendant notified us that we were now able to exit the plane.

.........

"Where to?" The taxi driver asked my mom. "University of Windsor" she replied wrapping her arm around me and giving my shoulder a tight squeeze. I smiled at her. My mom was just as excited as i was to be starting starting college. The drive to the university took about thirty minutes and in that space of time my mom and our driver had struck up conversation. They spoke about Canada's history, the university and even the bars. It was quite obvious that this cab driver had a thing for my mom and Stevie Wonder could see that. He constantly complimented her and stared at her in an admiring manner. I smiled to myself thinking "Way to go, Mom!"

Finally we had arrived and i was left in astonishment at the sight of such a wonderful institution. It was freaking huge, like nothing i had ever seen before. The way the college students sat in groups studying on the grass reminded me of what i had seen on t.v. I grabbed my luggage and began making my way to the main building. "Welcome to UW!" a girl sprang out of nowhere and stood before me. Her canadian accent was really strong and i totally adored that. "Thanks" I said smiling. "I'm Bella, your student advisor." "I'm Simone and it's nice to meet you. Um can you show my mom and I to the administrative office please." She nodded before beckoning us to follow her. After a few minutes of following Bella we arrived at a door labeled 'Administrative office' and entered. She took us through another door which led to an office which sat an older woman. She smiled briefly at us and told us to have a seat at her desk. "Hmmm Ms. Simone Carey it is with great pleasure to officially welcome you to the university of Windsor. I am your head administrator and because you're here on scholarship, i have personally and carefully selected your room for you but before we tarry to your room I would appreciate it if you chose your subjects right now." she said. I smiled to myself. Wow, everyone sure knew how to make you feel welcomed.

After selecting my subjects, my mom, Mrs. Beneby and myself traveled up to the dorms where she showed me my room and introduced me to my roommates. Mrs. Beneby knocked onto the door and it was instantly opened. I gasped. It was him! There stood Marquis! "Umm are we at the wrong dorm room madam?" my mom asked quizzically. Mrs. Beneby let out a hard chuckle. "Of course not. This is her room. I know there are boys in this dorm but at UW we encourage our students to interact and learn to live with each other with no discrimination of sexes and we trust each student as much as we trust ourselves. Do not worry madam. Your daughter is in good, no, great hands!" she said with a smile before leaving the room. I glared around the room. There were trophies, posters, a basketball rim on the wall and three beds . Marquis stood to the door, his smile from ear to ear. "So we meet again eh?" he says. I smiled at him. Gosh he's so cute. "Yeah and i guess we're roommates now too." i tell him. "Oh, hey. I'm Joey. I'm your roommate too." i heard a deep voice say from behind me. I turn to greet him and is stunned. Gorgeous blue eyes met mines. He was the first brown skinned male i had ever seen with blue eyes. By brown, i meant that he ws caramel colored with curly dark brown and gold streaked hair which was curly and was brushed back into one. He was about 6'4, muscular with a chest tattoo. Yes, he was shirtless and wore long baby blue skinny jeans with yellow vans. My eyes left his and floated to my mom's who was now holding her chest. "Well baby, i have to go check in at my hotel. I hope you enjoy your time here. Be good for me, keep up your grades and i love you. I'll call you soon. " my mom said before pulling me into a hug. I waved as I watched her walk down the hall. I sighed in relief. Now to deal with my two sexy roommates. "Soo you never told me your name." Joey said with a smirk. "Oh, i'm sorry. My name's Simone." i said with a smile. "Well it's really nice to have a roommate that doesn't have balls.. you dont have any right? " he teased. I laughed. "I don't." "So beautiful.." he said which made me blush. I just hope daily orgasms will not be the price of living with these hotties...

"Hey Simone, think fast!" I heard as i spun around, only for my face to be attacked by a football."Oh hell!" I heard Marquis yell as he ran over to my side where he helped me up. "Are you okay?" "Im fine. I wanna cry but i'm fine." I replied back. "Come on, let's check that pretty face out." Marquuis said as he helped me up onto my bed and examined my face. Rubbing it, he apologized to me, a slight hint of embarrassment on his cheecks. I smiled shyly and assured him that i was going to be just fine.

Boy, was living with two guys going to be tough and indeeed it was.  They were extremely childish when it came to my feminine belongings. They wore my bras and hit on me when i showered, but it's still pretty awesome. They were like brothers to me and i loved them dearly, although they were annoying.
