Your dream had finally come true, you had finally moved to South Korea. After tons of paperwork, and saving up since you were 16, you were finally able to do it. You had a slight issue though- You couldn't speak the language at all. You had tried your hardest, downloading apps and buying textbooks, but you could never memorize more than a few random phrases. You had lucked out in finding an apartment with a land lord who spoke English quite fluently though, and you had a secure job at a Korean branch of a business that you had been working at in America since her were 17. But everyday life, was much harder since you didn't speak Korean, and making friends or finding a boyfriend was even worse. So you finally gave in and started browsing around online for a Korean Language tutor. After hours of hard labor (okay let's be honest, you weren't trying THAT hard), you decided to give up. There was no possible way that you could find a tutor that you could afford. It would have to be a miracle for something like that to happen! You sighed as you opened your favorite new Korean snack and stretched out on the small sofa in your living room, your laptop balancing dangerously on your lap.
Your head bobbed as you slowly started to fall into a restless sleep. Suddenly a *ding* jerked you from the hands of sleep and you glanced at your laptop screen that had suddenly brightened. You read the notification: *ONE NEW EMAIL*.
"It's probably just spam mail." You grumbled as you clicked open the tab that already had your email signed in. The subject was labeled *Tutor*. Your eyes glanced over it, you had no idea how or why you received this email, and you were very skeptical. The email read:
"Dear Miss y/n, we received your information, and your desire for a Korean Language tutor. We have a tutor who is available for you, if you so wish. Since teaching is his hobby, he is offering you a free trial. He hopes that you will accept, and find the program very helpful. If you are interested in this program, please respond to this email, and we can arrange a time that will be best for you, to begin the first lesson. Sincerely, the Tan-Bang Language Team."
This was obviously a scam! Yet you were strangely curious. "Would it REALLY hurt to respond to the email to check them out a little more? To see if the ACTUALLY were a scam?" You thought to yourself. You decided to send a quick reply. "How could it really hurt? Hey, and if it's real, I'll finally get a tutor!" you thought to yourself as you hit send.
