Chapter 8

I haven't updated in a while so I'm giving you guys a fairly long chapter👍🏽

*Jayla's POV*

I was waiting for Grayson to walk out of the principals' office, when the secretary told me that I had to go back to class. Not in the mood to fight with her I got up and went back to class.

After the class was over I ran to Ethan's and waited for him to walk out so I could ask if he wanted to skip the next class and hang out. This was my first time skipping class so I was pretty nervous.

When he walked out he looked at me, "Oh, hey Jayla?" he said questionably. "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to skip the last class and hangout?" I said nervously, looking at my feet.

"Sure, why not" he smiled.

"Cool, so where do you wanna go, I mean I've never done this before." He looked at me surprised.

"Really, you never skipped school, I thought that because of Hayes you'd never wanna come to school?"

"I mean yea I do wanna skip sometimes, but I need good grades. College is a big dream of mine, so skipping wouldn't be the best idea" I looked down at my shoes shyly, but Ethan lifted my chin up.

"Stop hiding that beautiful face of yours" he smiled, took my hand and we walked out the school doors.

We ended up at the same ice cream place that Hayes slapped me at last time.

"So what do you wanna get, on me" Ethan smiled at me, It made me feel all giddy inside.

I smiled back at him, "really? thanks, I'll get cookies and cream in a cone" I smiled at him and he looked at me, "Oh so you like cookies and cream huh?" he smirked. The lady handed us our Ice cream and Ethan paid her. He was making me feel all awkward so I got a huge boost of confidence, and tried to make him feel awkward.

"Yea I do" I smirked. "Just like my men, creamy" I said even though that made no sense, he choked on his ice cream and looked at me, I just laughed at him and turned to sit down at a table making sure my butt rubbed across him, even though I didn't have all the features that most black girls have like, a big butt and an hourglass figure. It still seemed to faze him.

He came and sat next to me at the table.

"So why did you wanna skip class?" he asked me. "I don't really know to be honest, I guess a lot has gone on today and I was ready to leave school" I smiled at him, and he smiled back "Yea that makes sense"

Once we left the ice cream shop Ethan dropped me off at home since school was over, we ended up talking for three hours there, and it was the most fun I've had in a while.

As soon as I walked in my house I got a text from Nash. Over these past couple days I completely forgot about Nash, don't get me wrong I still have feeling for him but Ethan and Grayson have been keeping me occupied, and their really sweet.

Nash😩❤️: Hey Jayla, haven't talked to u in a while...

Jayla: Hey, Nash. yea we havent...

Nash😩❤️: What you been up to :)

Jayla: Quite a bit actually you heard what happened to your brother and Grayson Dolan, right?

As I was waiting for an answer my heart started to beat really fast. Nash meant a lot to me now and his opinion was big for me.

Nash😩❤️: Uhh yea and what Grayson did was terrible, right?
