Chapter 9

When we walked into class Ethan turned to me, "wanna sit together to day?" he asked.

"Sure" I smiled a genuine smile. We sat at my regular seat but Ethan sat next to me. Everyone has been staring at me, probably because of what happened in my last class.

"Hey J why is everyone staring at you?" he asked confused, I looked at him, "It could be because of what happened last class" you smirked at him and he raised his eyebrows.

"And what happened last class?" he was now very intrigued on what happened, I sighed and started talking abruptly.

"The teacher asked me if I knew the answer to a question and I simply answered 'no' then Hayes decided to make jokes and say so I called him out, then the teacher wanted to tell me to go to the office when he started the whole mess. So I told him if Hayes doesn't go then I won't, and now I'm here with you" I looked over at Ethan and his eyes were wide.

"Jayla your usually so quiet what came over you?" he seemed worried but I just shrugged it off.

"I'm not really sure to be honest E, it kind of just came over me" he looked at me with sympathy, but then smiled.

"Hugh five" I giggled when he sounded like a kid, but gave him a high five anyway.

This was the last class of the day so once the bell rung everyone started going home.

"Hey wanna come to my house today?" I asked, hoping some company can keep me sane.

"Uh, yea let me text Gray?" he asked, I nodded.

"You can go home I have to pick up my little sister from school, I'll text you when you can come" he nodded and waved goodbye.

As I was walking out of school Nash walked up to me like it was normal, automatically I got pissed off because his presence annoys me.

"Hey Jay" he smiled at me like it was just another happy day, "do you wanna hangout later?"

"What the fuck Nash, why are you acting like your not the one who said you never wanna see me again?" I looked at him in disgust, "You went off on me like I did something wrong when I told you the truth!"

"I know Jay-" I cut him off before he could finish. "my name is Jayla, only my friends can call me Jay" he rolled his eyes and I did the best I could to just shrug it off.

"Ok. I know Jayla but I made a mistake and I'm sorry for hurting you, I'll never do it again" he pleaded.

"I'm late to picking up my sister from school Nash, so don't talk to me again, bye" after I said that his whole face changed and he suddenly looked mad.

"I hope you know that your invitation to magcon has been cancelled right?" he yelled at me as I was walking away.

"I kinda figured that a long time ago Nash, even if it wasn't I still wouldn't have dared to show up" I looked back and gave him a toothy smile while he looked like a raging bull.

Finally I hurriedly got to my car and quickly drove to my sisters school.

"Hey" I said to my sister when she hopped into the car, "Hey what happened you were later then usual," I gave her the look, "not that I'm complaining but you're always on time or early to everything" she quickly said making sure not to piss me off anymore then I already am.

"I got stopped on my way out by an irrelevant person, and thus person decided to take a long ass time" my sister looked at me, and decided to just shrug off my bad mood.

"Can we stop at the store we ran out of pads and I just started mine today." Since my parents are never home my sister has to ask me for things she needs, so it's not awkward for us to tell each other something personal.
