Star Shaped Fruit - Ventus X Reader

"Hey! (Y/N) "

You could hear the gleeful boy shout in excitement as he jumped up from the bench, his blonde spikes sticking up as a grin was plastered on his face much like a child.

"Ventus? What are you doing up this late? We have to get up early to watch Terra and Aqua become masters tomorrow." You responded, turning around to face him, peeling your attention away  from the stars to the boy.

"Well.. Aqua and Terra are up so why should I not be up?" He retorted as the doors that lead to inside opened once more, the blue haired girl walking through first, Terra following her.

"Hey Ventus, want to train with us for tomorrow? You could get some experience too (y/n)." Aqua spoke, summoning her keyblade as she stared at Ventus for a response, a quick nod coming from him.

So childish yet adorable. You thought to yourself, coming back to realization, responding to Aqua. "Sure." Your keyblade formed within your hands in a matter of pure seconds, dazzled with light. (You can have it look however you want your keyblade to look like)

Ventus smiled as he watched Terra summon his own, his eyes focused upon Aqua, watching every move should could provide. With a quick charge the large, tan man slid forward, Aqua quickly cartwheeling out of the way and retaliating with a quick attack of magic, ice flying at Terra, causing him to duck, the chunks of cold stinging his shoulder.

"Come on Terra!" Ventus cheered as he watched them test each other.

Terra was quick to move as he barreled with all his might at Aqua while she was aiming her keyblade at him to provide another attack of magic. The girl was knocked to the ground as Terra aimed down, blocking his attacks though.

"Hey Ventus, how about you and I duel?" You piped up to break the silence (except for the clashing of keyblades) , lifting your keyblade in front of your face.

The blond turned his head towards you as he stood up, putting on a quick smiling before summoning his keyblade, holding it in his unique way. "You're on." He spoke with confidence as he quickly threw his keyblade at you, stepping closer each time he threw it.

You blocked every one of them, barely managing to roll out of the way of the last one as a ball of fire shot out of your keyblade, Ventus quickly evading the attempt. Using his own magic a whirl of air blew up right where you were standing. You rolled- but it was too late, you were stuck in this trap of magic as the air slowly lifted you up. The young boy darted forward, hitting your keyblade and knocking you out of the Aeroga.

"Hey, you okay?" He quickly rushed over to you, bending down on his knees, holding out his hand to lift you up.

"O-oh, I'm fine, just caught me by surprise." You brushed off the moment as you looked up at him, the smile still on his little face. How can someone still be so happy? You wondered as you smiled yourself, taking in his features.

"Well Aqua, I think we're ready for tomorrow." Terra spoke, taking heavy breaths as his keyblade vanished from his hands and turned to Ventus and you. "Hey, we're gonna head back.

Ventus stared at the stars before turning to his attention to Terra. "Yea.. me too!" He darted after them. "Come on (y/n)!" He called back as you followed in pursuit of the energetic keyblade wielder.

"Wait, Ventus." You slowed down at the bench where Ventus had been asleep earlier.

"Yea..?" He turned around, staring at you.

"Can you tell me about the worlds and what Aqua says?" You requested as you stared at one that twinkled brightly in the dark sky.

"Oh." Ventus slowed into a walk as he sat back down onto the bench, his eyes gazing up. "Aqua told me that there was a star-shaped fruit out there in one of those worlds, and it represents an unbreakable connection."

"That's nice." You replied, sitting down next to him, staring down at the ground.

"I'll get you one of the fruits." The boy blurted out of no where.

"Huh?"

"I'll get you one of the fruits for you and I. So we're always together and connected." He smiled. "We will never be alone, and like the stars, we'd be part of something big."

"Ventus.." You sighed as you leaned your head on his shoulder, cause a light dust of pink to cross his cheeks. "You're too kind."

"I love you." Ventus spoke quietly as he moved his hand on top of yours, staring at the stars. "I'll get a star shaped fruit for you."
