My Light - Riku X Reader

-Note: So I'm changing it a bit from the preview, I may make another Riku X Reader with the same plot as the preview given. Hopefully you don't mind~

Hollow Bastion. It reeked of darkness and heartless that flooded the once beautiful Radiant Garden.

Your eyes opened to see a large creature, draped in a purple cloak, fur coating its entire back like an animal.

"Belle!" The thing shouted, baring its fangs at a figure that stood on a platform above. "She must be here. I will have her back!" He lashed out as the figure still stood.

"Take her if you can." He smirked as a dark blade was summoned into his hand.

Your eyes came into focus as you saw the blade, his silver hair, and the familiar outfit. His voice suited it completely. Riku.

The beast lunged upward at your old friend, but was quickly put down in defeat.

"Stop! Riku! What are you doing?" You rushed up the steps quickly, almost falling off one and into the water below.

"Hmph. You always keep challenging me. We've always been rivals haven't we?" The boy smirked.

"Riku... Maleficent is no good, please, come out of the darkness."

His brows furrowed. "So you don't care about Kairi?"

You stepped forward, reaching forward. "I do, but-"

"Maleficent promised me Kairi and power. Listen, I can protect her with this." He interrupted.

"Maleficent won't give you anything!" A part of you lashed back, but it wasn't you, it was a burning spirit of someone else. "Riku, wake up from this and realize that Maleficent can't give you Kairi." The part inside of you spoke.

"And how would you know?" He turned his face away from you. "I guess I'll have to show you Maleficent was right. There can only be one keyblade master."

Your keyblade came into your hands as the gray haired boy raised his own, his blue eyes focused on the weapon of light. It soon faded from your hands as you desperately tried to pull it back. It vanished and reappeared in Riku's hands.

"Maleficent was right. See, and you aren't strong enough to save Kairi, Maleficent gave me power, and I will be able to save her." Riku smirked as he tossed a wooden sword at your feet. "Go play hero with this." He harshly spoke as he turned around.

You quickly reached for the wood and threw it at him, hitting him square in the back. "If you think Maleficent gave you so much power, fight me. Right here and now." You narrowed your eyes at him. No weapon but you chose to fight.

"Really? With nothing at all you want to fight me. How pathetic you have come, Y/N."

How he said your name, it rang in your head as if a dozen bells were hit at the same time. Your head ached like darts had slammed into it with a powerful force. "I said fight me."

Riku turned around as he summoned his own keyblade, darkness swarming it. "Fine. I guess I really have to put you down."

You quickly ran forward and before the boy could act, your arms wrapped around him.

Shocked, Riku stood still, dropping his keyblade to the ground. "Y/N..." He fell to his knees. "It's too late, I've never wanted to harm you but this power of darkness makes me want to do so the first time in my life."

"Riku, you can fight it." You spoke calmly as you slowly went onto your knees also, your arms still around him.

"I'll need you to help me with it with me then." He put on a small smile as he rested his head on top of yours. "I just wanted to get Kairi back and save her."

"Riku, I understand, but you can't always play hero by yourself as you reject your friends." You smirked.

"I guess that wooden sword is really meant for me." He stood up before turning away. "But Maleficent and I still have unfinished business. And I have to go through it to get Kairi."

"Don't go into the darkness too much, please Riku." You spoke, frowning as you got to your feet also.

He started to walk away but before he could you lunged forward, grabbing his hand. "I'll always be there to support you."

"My light." Was all he said as he smiled before vanishing.
