She never knew her parents. Never knew how much they loved her, if at all. She was a normal adopted city girl. That is, if you live in New York.
Back to her sad, miserable, sor- Did someone say cookies?!
Enough of my ramblings. Listen to her story, young grasshopper, and learn the ways of Pandora Pallas... And yes, her last name is Greek for wisdom.
I rolled my eyes and put my ear buds in, listening to Nightcore - Angel With A Shotgun (below). I had heard this lecture millions of times before - don't get separated from your partner, don't get kidnapped, blah blah. I didn't need to listen to this again. Suddenly my ear buds were yanked out. "Damn it, y-" I looked up to see a fuming Mr. Varner, my history teacher.
You, Miss Pallas, will go with Miss Lily Lauren as your buddy." He said. I went over to Lily, my best friend, and put my ear buds back in. We had nothing to talk about, and anyways, we were with our whole class and right outside a hotel - anyone could be listening, and could easily steal some information valuable to me. Mr. Varner completed a long speech, no doubt about the history of Athens, where we were visiting, and I already knew all of it. I caught the only two important pieces of information over my music which I always put on too loud. It feels nice when it just pulses through you. "Be back at Hotel Valdez by 11:00 pm every night and we can leave as early as 6:00 am." and "you will share a room with your assigned buddy." All the rest was boring, except for the fact that we have only a week here. He then gave each of us a key card each for our assigned rooms.
I headed inside the hotel with Lily leisurely once he was done, and looked at my key card. We got floor 29 room 1. On the top floor. That so Varner-like. I lied to everyone, except Lily, of course, that I was afraid of heights, because then they wouldn't know my true Achilles's heel. Don't think I'm gonna tell you, I don't even know your name!
I was suddenly rammed into. I fell to the ground and got a nasty rug burn on my arm. "Watch where you're going, a-" I couldn't finish. I took my ear buds out and he helped me up. The person in front of me was the hottest guy in the world.
"Go on, speak your mind, I won't bite. My names Jason Wallace, by the way." He said in a boyish voice.
"But you might once you hear me." I mumbled, and continued clearly. "I was saying, watch where your going, asshole!" I then continued in a nicer voice, "I'm Pandora Pallas. Nice to run into you."
"I really deserved that, didn't I? Sorry for running into you. I didn't mean to." He said, and smiled.
"Nah, it's fine, I should have been looking at where I was going instead of looking at my key card the whole time. Speaking of key card..." I said, and looked around. It was by his foot. He pitched it up and handed it to me. "Thank you. I'd better go though, my friend is probably worried. Bye." I said, smiled at him, and walked away. Way to play it cool, Pandora. I walked into the elevator and punched in the floor number. They were playing this annoying background music. I was just mentally punching myself when it dinged. Finally! I stepped out of the elevator, and walked over to my left to Lily's and my's room. Swiping the key card, I opened the door and stepped in, closing the door behind me. I then took in my surroundings.
Two queen-sized beds were in the middle of the room, against the back wall, with a table and a lamp, that was on, between them, with a flat screen 56" TV on the wall in front of them. There was a window-door overlooking the street on the north side, my left, which would have otherwise been beautifully pouring in light, was beautifully showing off the dark street below, with a beautiful balcony done up with beautiful 19th century craftsmanship details. I don't even know how they got their hands any documents about it, much less being able to do that, but it was beautiful. On the south side, there were two closets, with another door, which I assumed to be the bathroom, in between them. Short summary; BEAUTIFUL! I absolutely loved our room. It had a cream-colored carpet, with light gray comforters on the beds. There was mabey six feet between the bed closest to the balcony and the balcony. I absolutely LOVED it. Who wouldn't?
Lily emerged from the shower. She was a brown haired shortish girl with pretty features and brown eyes. She was in PJs, and wet hair.
"So, how hot is the guy you met?" She asked, reading my mind.
I ran and jumped onto the bed closest to the balcony, not bothering with my bags. "Absolutely gorgeous. He has light blond hair, muscles, and all the hot factors!" I practically squealed. "He looked mabey 19, and way out of my range, but he's so hot!"
"Ooo!" She squealed, and started singing Shake it Off by Taylor Swift. She always does that. I rolled my eyes and joined in. Once we were over, I went to take a shower, and put on some shorts and a T-shirt for bed. I dragged one of my suitcases to a closet and started unpacking. First my clothes. Then I got out the remainder of its contents, my toiletries and makeup, and put them in the bathroom. Now for my other suitcase. I dragged it to my bed and dumped it all out. 23 good books. The Percy Jackson books, both series's, Trials of Apollo, Harry Potter, and Twilight. I don't know how I even got them all in there, or where I'm going to put them.
In case you didn't notice, I'm a huge nerd. Glasses and all. Well, not braces, but you get what I mean. I always have pimples on my nose, because of my glasses, and I not ugly or exactly attractive, in my opinion. I have dark brown hair, which I always have in a low pony tail, grey eyes, and I'm usually wearing a grey sweater or sweatshirt. I love wedges and sandals, and I'm almost always wearing them.
I went into the bathroom, taking a shower. When I was done, I didn't bother to dry my hair, and put it straight into a French Braid so that it would be curly the next day, and put on some shorts and a tank top. (Below)
I headed out of the bathroom and ran and jumped onto my bed. Even though I had been pushed into puberdy, I still acted like a little kid sometimes. I then had a brilliant idea."Lily! Lightbulb!" I said, indicating that I had an idea. I dragged her off her bed by her arm, all the time saying, "idea, idea, idea," really fast. Again, I still act like a little kid. I practically dragged her out the doors onto the balcony overlooking the city.
"It's so beautiful." Lily said quietly, and I nodded. I had never seen anything so beautiful in my life. You couldn't hear the sound of the cars from up here, and you could clearly see the beautiful lights of the cars below, so colorful it looked like a bunch of flashing Christmas tree ornaments. We headed inside after a while, and sat on our beds in silence. I then had another brilliant idea.
"Lily! Lightbulb!" I said. "Truth or Dare? Your pick!"
She groaned. I picked the most awesome dares and truths, so no getting out of this one. "Dare, I guess." She said. I grinned devishly.
"Biggest mistake of your life." I said, as I had a very exilerating dare in my head.
