Silence book 2- LOST

Chapter 1

A/N: Dick is 14 years old, set in year: 2011. Contains mentions of self harm, depression, and hints of foreshadowing.

It was out to everyone in their lives that they were dating and it was great. Everything was great and perfect.

Dick slowly woke up in Wally's bed after spending the night and staying up almost all night playing video games, he eventually crashed around 5 in the morning. He glanced over at the alarm clock and noticed that it was close to 10 o'clock. He rolled over and half expected to see Wally still fast asleep beside him but the side of the bed next to him was empty. Dick reached over and rubbed his hand over the spot that Wally laid in and it felt cold, meaning he hasn't been beside Dick in some time.

Dick sighed and rolled over and faced the wall. He didn't know why but sadness slowly filled him up and for a split second the thought of cutting came to his mind. He sighed and pulled the covers over his shoulders and buried his head in the pillow and went back to sleep.

The next thing Dick knew was he was being shake by his shoulders awake. He slowly opened his eyes and glanced up to see his boyfriend's warm and smiling face. Dick tried to smile but he felt numb at the moment and it now seemed that Wally seemed to be able to see this too because his smile fell from his face.

He sat down beside Dick and rubbed small circles upon his back.
"Dickie, what's wrong?" asked Wally and Dick just shrugged his shoulders and closed his eyes again. He just wanted to sleep and be left alone so he didn't have to put up the tiring act of always being alright. But he really didn't want to be left alone, cause he was worried that he might cut again and he just really wanted to be held and to feel loved.

Wally laid down on top of him and kissed his check before running his hand through Dick's hair. "It'll be alright. I won't leave your side'' whispered Wally who got off of Dick and crawled into bed and laid beside him. Dick inhaled sharply and rolled over quickly and buried his face into Wally's chest as his shoulders began to shake and he cried out silently.

He just wanted to be happy and to stop feeling depressed all the time. Yes things has been really good so far but there were moments like this when things weren't alright and his depression would take over and make him want to hide away from the world and everything in it.

They laid there within each others arms, making Dick feel safe and loved plus making Wally feel slightly better knowing that Dick was beside him and out of harms way for the time being.

The day grew on and they hardly left the bed. Dick only got out of bed to use the bathroom, other than that he was either fast asleep in bed or cuddled up next to Wally while he watched tv, ate or listened to music. Dick didn't have the energy to speak or sign to Wally and it was clear to Wally.
Dick wanted or needed silence to help him deal with this. The only thing helping him get through this day without self harming or being completely taken over by his depression was Wally and Dick was super grateful to have Wally in his life.

Dick snuggled up closer towards Wally which made them both smile. Wally leaded down and planted a few kisses on Dick's lips, nose, checks and neck before Dick was closing his eyes again and going back to sleep.

When Dick got this way, being depressed, empty and numb like he just felt very distant from everything and he just didn't care and being like this only made him feel sleepy and want to sleep the whole day away.

Wally wrapped his arms tighter around his boyfriend, letting Dick know that he was there for him and that he loved him. Wally kissed Dick ever so gently on the lips as he gazed down at the sleeping boy, safely tucked within his arms.

"I love you Dick, I love you so much and...and I will never leave you. I promise you'' whispered Wally who shut the tv off and rested his head upon Dick's head and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep listening to Dick breathing.

Wally wished that he could take all the bad and throw it away and let Dick escape to some place happy and peaceful with no pain but he knew that that was only a fantasy, something completely unrealistic and especially in their line of work.
They were heroes and risked their lives everyday for the greater good. Dick was the best out of all of them, he was so kind and self sacrificing that it terrified Wally to no ends. Dick would risk all of himself for anyone and everything. He was too kind, too caring and it showed through his actions but being that way, being too much of everything also hurt him in the end. He had such a big heart full of love, but what came with love was also pain and Dick had his fair share of pain and loss in his life.
He has never had it easy and it pained Wally to see him so depressed at times. He knew that the world hurt Dick almost more than anyone else and he just so badly wanted to protect his boyfriend from feeling anymore pain but knew that wasn't going to happen. He just hoped that he would never be the cause to any of Dick's pain or cause him to slip backwards and try to take his life again.

[ Note: I have no idea when updates will be on this book so please just stick around with me and please be patient with me as I take you the readers on this uncovered journey into the five missing YJ years before season two began plus will cover most of the episodes in season two.
P.S. I have no idea how long or short this book will be, but I do know that there is a lot to cover over those five missing years so who knows how long this will be. I do know that this book will most likely jump around from year to year. Thank you! ]
