Chapter 9 |Never Goodbye|

I woke up in the middle of the night knowing I had to do it whether I liked it or not. As I tried to get up Doms hold on me tightened, great now I have a problem. "Scar quit moving." he groaned lowly "Dom I have to use the bathroom." he reluctantly let go of me as I kissed him on the cheek "I love you." he chuckled sleepily "I love you too." I got up and into the bathroom grabbing my duffel bag and climbed out the window. "I'm so sorry dom." I got into my car and drove off with small tears in my eyes. "Please dont hate me." I stopped at a motel across town and typed up something and sent it to Ramsey knowing she would show everyone what I said.

Hey everyone so I guess you've noticed im gone. I have something I need to do but I have to do it alone. Please dont try and find me because I will be back. If Braxton remembers then he knows what im doing. It's something I should've done before I left but I couldn't bring myself to do it. If im not back in a week then come looking for me.

Dom im really sorry for leaving in the middle of the night but I couldn't bring myself to say goodbye. But thats the thing its never goodbye, If I said goodbye it's like saying im dying when in reality that's probably not true. I'm coming back. I love you.

Letty I want you to take care of my brother while im gone, you may deny it but I see that you guys love each other. That would partially be my fault, I did introduce you guys and left you alone. I wanted to see what would happen.

Braxton if you hurt her so help me god I will put you 6 feet under. You know im dead serious.

Luke I know you're worried to death but I want you to calm down I need to do this before it eats me alive stay safe when working. I dont want to find out you jumped out of a building again.

Mia I want you take it easy while im not there helping you cook, I know I wasn't helping that much but I could tell you werent as stressed about several things at once. Just relax and enjoy yourself. Hell make the guys cook it will be much easier hehe.

Roman im gonna have to put our fun times on hold as much as it was fun i'll see ya later. dont go shrinking that forehead on me now I need to be able to keep my jokes flowing.

Tej I made a playlist of songs you may like. I remember vaguely that you asked for one so I did it's on a flashdrive on my side table. Hope you enjoy it.

I sent all of the messages and made sure Megan understood I needed her to give them individually to them. I drove down the highway with my music on and a small smile on my face. "I love you Dom. So much." I continued on my way with tears running down my face.

Dom's Pov

I woke up to scarlett gone so I walked downstairs expecting to see her with everyone else. Instead I saw everyone had a piece of paper with typed words on them. Megan handed me a paper and when I read it I ran up into the bathroom seeing her bag gone and another written out paper with tear stains.

Dear Dom,

I know I lied about having to use the bathroom but it was the only way I could leave. Me leaving is also why I had to say I loved you even if you were half asleep. I love you Dominic Toretto and dont ever forget that. I dont know what would have happened if I hadn't walked into that diner when I did. I dont know how you did it but you stole my heart and there was nothing I could do about it, but go with the flow. When I was forced to stay with Josh to keep you guys safe I missed you everyday. I missed you every night so much that I cried myself to sleep. I missed your touch. I couldn't live without you. He even tried to rape me but I got him to leave me alone. When you finally showed up I knew there was a plan and to say I was relieved would be an understatement. I thought my heart broke when I told you guys what happened to Letty but when I tried to walk away you pulled me back in and helped me through it all. It took me awhile to get used to my own skin after my father, but you helped me become tougher and I couldn't be more grateful. I love you Dom I'm not sure what we are but all I know is that I'm not leaving even if I have to fight for you. See you soon. <3

I read her note over a million times before it registered in my brain. She's gone.

Scarlett's Pov

I arrived at the airport lobby to wait for my flight. I couldn't help but think this was a dream, I'm leaving somewhere safe to do something that could break me. I'm an idiot. I missed all of them and had to hold back tears. "Flight 13 is now boarding." I stood up and walked over to the line to get on my flight.

'This is it. London here we come.'
