"Where is my necklace?" I asked myself as I rummaged through the numerous drawers and boxes in my small two bedroom apartment.
"I thought I saw it on your dresser!" Courtney yelled from her room.
"Thanks roomie," I said grabbing it and putting it around my neck. I quickly checked my hair before grabbing my handbag and heading out the door. I was walking towards my car but spotted Derek in his.
"I thought we were meeting there" I said as I climbed into his car.
"I just couldn't wait to see you." He smiled sheepishly and kissed my cheek, "ready for a great night?" He asked, brushing hair out of my face. I nodded, hugging him tightly.

After a short drive we got to a restaurant that I had dreamed of going to for months. "The food here is quite expensive, are you sure we can afford it?" I asked Derek.
"It's on me." He answered, pulling a 200 dollar check from his pocket.
"Oh, my gosh, you really don't have to." I said. He smiled, I loved his cute little smile. Every time he smiled it made my day ten times better, it was one of the many things I loved about him.
"It's ok." He answered. I smiled.
"Thank you." I said.

We went into the restaurant and sat down at our reserved table. We sat facing each other, chatting and laughing with a candelabra between us. We ordered our food and ate and enjoyed it. It was a wonderful, magical time. After we had finished our desert, Derek payed for the meal and we left the restaurant feeling full and happy.

"Do you want to go for a walk before I take you home?" Derek proposed as we walked outside.
"I'd love to." I replied. We linked arms and had a romantic walk in the moonlight. I looked at Derek, the stars reflected in his deep brown eyes, standing out against his dark skin. He brushed his black dreadlocks out of his face and tied them up with the band that was round his wrist.
"Fiona?" He said.
"Yeah?" I replied, happily strolling along the street with him beside me.
"I love you." He said with another of his wonderful smiles. I wrapped my arms around him.
"I love you too." I said, leaning my head on his shoulder. I was so happy. I was finally with someone who lived me, for me and I loved it. I loved him. We kept walking. The dark street was illuminated by the street lights and the glare that came from the windows of the tall apartment buildings. I looked at Derek and then at the thousands of stars in the sky. I couldn't be happier.

Then suddenly as we were passing an ally my hand was grabbed. I screamed and turned to the direction the hand had shot out of and saw two men wearing ski masks. I tried to pull my hand away but the grip was strong. I turned to Derek. He was being held by another man, a hand was covering his mouth. The other guy pulled out a gun.
"Give us ya cash!" He demanded pointing the gun at me. I screamed, my head started to throb, my vision started to go blurry.
"No!" I screamed, "No!" I looked at my hands, no, no not now, not now. I heard the guys demand something again but I couldn't make out the muffled sounds. "Let me go!" I screamed, "For your own good, please let me go!" I tried to escape and heard laughing that then turned to screams, my hearing became more muffled, my vision became blurrier. I looked at my hands. I had transformed, It had happened again. I couldn't control my actions I jumped on the guy with the gun and tore him apart. I turned to Derek, he was terrified.

"No!!" I screamed over and over again, I tried to resist but my senses had been taken over. I kept screaming, "No! Go! It isn't safe, I'll kill you if you don't go!" But Derek stayed put, he tried to help me, though I couldn't make out what he was saying. "Run!!" I screamed, but nothing came out of my mouth.
I lunged at him, and the last thing I saw was his decapitated head, roll onto the ground, and then I blacked out. I had killed him.
