Adrian's pov:
"Is this by any chance Phil Lester?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows. Please don't let it be him. I can't go through that again. "Yeah. Do you know him?" Chase asks curiously. I pick up my glass of water and take a sip before answering. "umm well he's more of a friend to a childhood friend" I say vaguely.
"Do you remember anything before becoming a droid?" Chase asks sitting in the love seat in front of the older fraying black couch I'm sitting on. "I'm not a droid Chris. I'm more of a Cyborg. And yes I remember everything before Chris decided to play engineer with my body" I mumble monotone not letting the bubbling rage for the man who took me away from my life. "oh" Chase says thinking over what I just told him. "Do you remember any of your family? Maybe we can track them down" Chase asks looking more and more curious by the moment.
"Yes, I do. But that doesn't matter because he switched them" I say quietly looking down at the frayed cloth of the couch. "Switched?" Chase looks at me confused making my head snap up to him. Does he not know of the slating in society? I mean I've known of this my whole life and robotic afterlife. This is being kept from the public?
"You don't know about switching?" I ask just as confused. I mean they did what they did to my family but switching is supposed to be for criminals to get a second chance. A way for them to have a clean slate. But why hide it from the public unless they're doing things the public...
"It's upper slang for erasing memories and putting false ones in place" I explained looking down once again. "But why?" Chase asks still confused.
"At first it was a way to give younger criminals a second chance. To just erase the memories that made them do the crime and shaped them into that and put their own false created memories. I thought everyone was aware of the switching but from your reaction I guess not" I trail off not looking up. "Oh" he says thinking over everything that I've said.
