      Monty sat down on the edge of the bathtub and let me rummage through the cabinets to find medical supplies. I finally found it and began to fix up with wounds. He hissed as I poured the alcohol on the cut on his forehead, but I continued to work in silence until he finally spoke up.
     "If I hadn't been distracting you he wouldn't have been able to do it," His voice was low and anger seeped through it, "we could've stopped him if we'd been there."
    "Hey, yes it's absolutely awful, but we made it. We got there before it fully happened. We didn't know this was gonna happen, if we did we would have never left Hannah. It's not Hannah fault either. It's Bryce's fault because Bryce is a rapist. He might not have fully raped her, but he tried and that's unforgivable." I kept my voice quiet incase someone was listening in.
     "My best friend is a fucking rapist" he said in disbelief, "Well my ex-bet friend" he corrected despairingly. I leaned forward and pressed my lips to his forehead.
     "I'm sorry that you lost your friend, but we need to make sure Hannah gets home safe and make sure she's alright, so let's go." He nodded along with my words and stood up. His hand entwined with mine as we made our way up stairs to check on Hannah.
