Angelia wrote while I used my phone to look up synonyms and such to help her out when needed. There was five minutes left, and so she was working hard. We had English everyday, so we had a lot of time. Plus, we can work on it after school.  Basically, we had all the time to work on it.

The bell yelled and since Angelia was so absorbed in writing, she jumped in shock, nearly giving out a shout. Easily distracted, I see.

We all went to our next classes. My next class was history and then was lunch. With him. I lost excitement to see him.

I walked out the classroom, letting my hair flow. I took a deep breath, hoping that Keira was a mere friend that didn't mean too much.

Turns up, Angelia also had lunch with me at the same period.

Part of my mind wanted a revenge on Isaac, but another part considered him as innocent. Or so, I thought that.

I guess that Angelia only wanted to work on the project. Because she then asked if I wanted to work with her on the writing, adding the fact that she was working on it during break.

I didn't know who to sit with. Maybe Isaac and Keira did absolutely nothing. But I had felt an evil presence around Keira..

"Uh, I'll ask my friend if he wanted to sit with me." I replied, after so I ran off to find Isaac in the corner on the cafeteria.

Angelia nodded behind my back, as I found my way to Isaac.

"So, do you want to continue with our conversation about music?" I asked.
"Sorry, I can't, I'm busy.."
"Why?" I said, getting confused.
"I'm meeting up with my friends. Nothing big." He said with no thought.
I clenched my fist. Didn't he say to we were to resume our discussion on music during lunchtime, also known as, right now? What a backstabbing new "friend." Why did I even call him a friend, and had such feelings for him and jealously when we've only just met hours ago with a couple minutes worth of talk?

I swallowed. "Didn't you say that we were to chat during lunch?"
Isaac stood for a while. "Oh yeah. I forgot about that."

Now, how do you forget a hangout plan with a NEW friend?

I grumbled. "Fine. Go with your friends."
I stomped to the seat Angelia reserved.

Isaac only looked back with a sigh, and a head shake. At least, I think he did.

"Hm? You look angry." Angelia said, with a small sound of concern. I wanted to scream and vent, but I feel that Angelia wouldn't be the best person to do so to. After all, we just met. And, we're only here for the sake of working on our project.

Unfortunately, we only had about ten minutes left. Thirty minutes lunch, and two-thirds of it was wasted arguing to Isaac. As if that even counted as an argument.

And, it was at that moment, a girl I didn't know came approaching us. I don't think I've seen her around yet. "Hi. I am Sora, and I am new here. Can I sit here?"

Me and Angelia just sat there.

"Excuse me?" Sora spoke up after a few awkward silent minutes.

I decided to speak up. "Oh yeah. Sorry, you can sit with us." I gulped. I've never been more embarrassed. "So.. I am Mareqe. For whatever reason, both of my eyes are different colors. Don't ask." I wanted to introduce myself. Angelia did her share of introducing. "I'm Angelia. A fairly normal student."

Sora decided to introduce herself a bit more. "I am Sora, in the eighth grade. And I want to be an explorer when I grow up, but not even my parents approve of that dream. Everyone in my last school judged me for that, and so leads to me moving here. You guys look like seventh graders, am I right?"

Me and Angelia nod slowly, looking at each other with horrified faces.
"What's wrong?" Sora asked, worrying that we'd judge her dreams too.

"Oh, it's nothing." I tried to reassure her.
"There IS something.." Angelia started;

"We have to write a story for a project and we're writing about a girl named Sora who wants to be an explorer but everyone judges her for it."

Sora made a shocked face, staring at my right eye.
"Yeah. It's freaky." I replied to the facial expressions she made.
But she wasn't shocked by the coincidence itself.

"I-it's n-not the co-co-coincide-nce.." Sora stuttered. She looked like she was going to run off. "Sorry. I'm going." was her last words before she grabbed her bags and ran away from school, leaving her last glance on my right eye. My green eye.

Me and Angelia looked— No, stared— at each other with a terrified face.
"What happened?" I asked, with Angelia still glaring at me.

Normally, one would be quite shocked at first, but would laugh it off.
Sora didn't.
She fled.

But I know:
Everything has a backstory. Everything that happens, something before happened which caused the event to occur.

What's this backstory?
What's happened in the past that changed views of coincidences?
What's happened?
What is the cause of everything?
Everything.
The chain of backstories will never end.
It'll end never.

I looked back to see Isaac sitting with Keira and some other guys.
Of all people.
Keira saw me looking. Keira fell from her seat when she saw me. What's going on? Was it my eyes? Was it my clothes? What was it?

Angelia pulled out her phone, going to the camera, and gave it to me so that I can see my face in it.

I felt a chill of terror down my back.
But this is no adventure.
This is a horror.

For I then realized the demon inside my green eye. It was no longer green:
It was red. Blood red.
