You are like the winter, devoid of life
I see it in the hunch of your spine, dear
When you think you are alone and you cry
Your pain is excruciatingly clear.

I adore you and your beautiful smile
Even if it seldom reaches your eyes
To lose your whole world yet still be alive
And all you usually show is a sigh?

I will always be here for you, my love
I will always try to ease your burden
At least lighten by the weight of a dove
Of this you need not be uncertain
