Nate insisted on driving me home. Ayoko sanang tanggapin since maglilipat pa kami ni Den mamaya pero nagbago din ang isip ko. Ilang araw na rin kasi kaming hindi magkasama.
“Dane, hintayin mo ako dito. I-lolock ko lang yung office. Okay?” I nodded and ushered him to go.
I obediently sat down on the bench and watched Nate’s retreating back.
“BABE!” A familiar voice called out from the opposite side. He’s acting like a long-lost friend or my boyfriend, despite the fact that we have barely exchanged more than a few words until now. I forced myself to meet his gaze and smile. Dali-dali syang tumakbo papalapit sa akin kasama sina Dale. I waved back at them, although I found myself searching for this particular guy.

“Ano, sama ka na?” He said, bringing the topic back. “Underground band kami. FLIX yung name namin. Nagpeperform kami usually sa G5, high-end resto yun wag ka mag-alala! Hindi yun delikado. May bago akong ginawang kanta e. Para sa'yo yun.” Sabay kamot nito sa ulo. He was hiding his embarrassment by scratching his head. Aww, he looks like a kid. J
“I wish I could but I already made an appointment with someone e.” I said, but he was already pulling me out of the bench. “Next time. I swear!”
“I can’t go. Sorry Jake. Next time! Promise!”
“Babe naman~” the next thing I knew, a pair of strong hands had pulled me away from Jake’s grasp.
“Seriously dude. Which part of I can’t go don’t you understand?”
“Hoy. Kung maka-react ka para ka nyang boyfriend ha!” Sabi ni Jake.
