Riley laid against Ian's side, while they were in their wolf forms. Derick was going on about something as he explained, that even without being full mated to your mate you can still talk to each other through gestures. Though by the looks of it almost all the soon-to-be alphas had mated to the females, that only left Riley the only unfully mated one.

"Alright you may go, but you must stay in your wolf form for the day and not use your minds to talk." Derick said.

He got a snort from Riley, and a little grin came to his face. She stood up and shook out her white fur, and pulled on Ian's ear. He tugged his huge body off the ground and nudged Riley forward. She didn't have to be told twice and ran forward in to the open path of the forest.

Her wolf form was smaller then the other females, but she didn't really care. Her size let her get in and out of things easier.

Ian trotted after Riley, keeping a look out around them as they made their way through the woods. She just started running once they broke from the trees, in to the miles of field in front of her. Riley her claws in to the dirt and went faster and faster. Ian was behind her a few feet as they ran.

The two mates slid to a stop at an edge of a creek. Riley walked in to the water till it came to her tummy, she drank some of the water then just stood there, while Ian rolled in the water then laid out on the grass sun bathing.

Riley watched his fur shine in the sun, before she looked down in to the clear water as fish swam around her. Ian heard a splash and tilted his head back to look at Riley, as she dived her head in to the water trying to catch a fish. He sat up on his tummy and watched her with a wolf raised eyebrow.

She picked her head up and it was dripping wet, and her fur was plastered to her skull. Ian busted out laughing, though in wolf form it sounded like he was choking on a duck.

"Oh my god Mark." A women's voice gasped.

Both wolves heads turned towards a women on the other side of the river. Riley stared at her not sure what to do, Ian got up to his feet.

"What Hannah?" Mark asked, moving away from their camp for the night.

He looked up and nearly stumbled over his own feet, as he stared at the two huge wolves. From studying wolves Mark knew the one in the water was the female and the one on the other side was male. The male let out a growl and the female moved toward him, not taking her eyes off Mark and Hannah. The two watched Ian sniffle and look over Riley, even though neither had touched her.

"She's so pretty." Hannah gasped, bending down.

"Be careful Hannah he won't let you get near her." Mark said.

Ian nudged Riley in her hind quarts to get her moving away from the river. She looked at the two humans under his belly, before moving along like he was asking. He took a step in to the river and growled at them in warning before turning and following her closely.

"That was amazing." Hannah mumbled.

"That was a display of true love." Mark told her.

"How do you know?" She asked.

"I have a feeling they were mates, and males wouldn't let any harm come to their females. If we were to cross this river to the other side he'd know, he gave us a warning not to come any further." Mark informed.
