Be cool. Keep calm. Phillip repeated sayings like this over and over in his mind, as he sat opposite Theodosia on the bus. He was one of the most popular kids in school, and every girl wanted him. He usually didn't give in and go out with them, although he had had plenty of girlfriends in the past. But there was something about this girl. The way she didn't throw herself at him, it was exciting for him. He never had to work to get a girl. She was beautiful, and confident and shy. Perfect.

When the bus pulled to a stop, Phillip gently took her hand, trying to escort her off the bus.
"I can walk on my own..." Theo said, pulling her hand away. Her tone wasn't harsh, it was sweet and kind, but still demanding.
"R-Right, sorry." Phillip stammered, not wanting to offend the girl. As she walked in front of him, his eyes skimmed down her body, taking in everything. She was gorgeous, he thought.

The bell rang for class to start, and Phillip offered to bring Theodosia to her first class, to which she accepted. He walked her through the hallways, watching as she so confidently walked down the hall, not caring if anyone was staring. It wasn't everyday that Phillip walked around with new girls, especially girls as shy and quiet as her. Phillip towered over her, standing tall at 6'3, while she seemed to be barely 5" feet tall. It looked as though he could pick her up, and throw her across the halls. When they reached the first class, Phillip stopped, going in for a hug.

Theodosia held out her hand, as if she was going to shake his hand, but at the last second realized what he wanted. She quickly hugged him and then pushed him away, pretending to be embarrassed by the display of affection.

Phillip stood and watched her go into the classroom, the feeling of her warm body against his, her skin brushing against his arms. The fabric of her shirt rubbing against his hands. He shook the thought of her out of his mind and started walking to his own class, though he still had the smell of her flowery perfume on his sleeve.

After class was over, Phillip rushed to go find Theo. He ran towards her as she made her way down the halls, seeming like he needed something important from her.
"Hey!" Phillip called from behind her, as he gently touched her shoulder to get her to slow down.
"I- Uh I was wondering... maybe did you want to hang out after school?" he asked, nervously, though he tried to hide the anxiousness behind his tone.

"Um, sure." Theo nodded, turning around. The bell rang, meaning that they had to get to class.
"H-here's my number." she said quickly, grabbing his hand and writing the digits on the back of his hand, before rushing off to class.

Phillip looked down at the freshly drawn black ink on his hand. He smiled, walking off back to class, satisfied with himself.
