The Poet's last Poem

As time grew longer, so did the old man's sadness. He had lived a long life full of happiness but also pain. It was like an ever growing abyss in the center of his lonely heart. Hell was a place he travelled to many times and he didn't want to go back. Time was against him and he knew he would be going back soon, but he wanted to write a poem.

For seven intense and gloomy months he wrote endlessly. He created draft after draft until his poem became close to perfection. It described his sadness from a day to day view, and he made sure everybody understood his life. He left it very clear that he would go through all the pain again if it meant that the woman he loved would come back.

So the poem was written:

The stars have left and so have you,

My nights are empty and cold.

All I can do is reminence over our

Memories that were part of me

Now I leave this world because without

You it is full of sadness and pain.

I leave, but I do not give up because,

I still believe you will be back in my arms.

The dreams I once had still stand,

All That vanished was my happiness

I keep fighting and if I were to be born again

I would fight even harder for you and,

I wouldn't let you go.....
