Part 5

Ava stormed into her room and crashed down onto her bed as images of her and Peter flooded through her mind, she grunted in frustration and reached for her phone before dialling Mary Jane's number.  'The number you have reached is currently unavailable p-' Ava through her phone into the wall causing it to smash completely. Why was she so angry in the first place, peter had told her he was doing this for her benefit but to her it felt like someone taking candy from a baby. Ava had seen too much as a child. She was emotionally broken and still is, she's never been used to someone caring for her so much and finally she understood that she was shutting Peter out. She was scared. Scared to let anyone in. She's been cheated, stabbed, burned and somehow her heart still managed to beat. She liked him.....OH SHIT.OH FUCK. She had feelings for Peter. She was i love with Spider-man. No wonder she couldn't control herself. She flopped against her pillows. Ohh was she screwed, scratch that (see what i did there) She was mega screwed. She face palmed herself. Fury suddenly entered "Not a good time?" Ava smiled "Come in, what's up?" "Well Ava since Parker has suspended you and you can't go on the field i thought i could give you this undercover mission...I think you'll be interested." Fury handed her a file. Looking at him suspiciously, she opened it. She looked back up at her adoptive father "I won't let you down." He smiled and kissed her forehead "Your my daughter, i know you won't. Anyway this is your make up artist and hair and what ever else you girls do...Ohh and this is your dress." He turned to leave but stopped "And Ava honey come and see me before you leave okay?" She smiled and nodded her head. 

After a while Ava stood in front of the mirror. She gasped slightly at the image of herself. She looked beautiful if she did say so herself. She quickly thanked the lady who did her make up and hair. She walked out and headed towards where Fury was. Fury was currently talking to the Avengers about some type of mission. Ava smiled shyly as Natasha spoke "Woah, your looking hot." Thor and Hulk looked at each other crushing their knuckles muttering 'Does she have a date' Cap and Stark and Hawk -eye all at once exclaimed "Where are you going looking like that."  Natasha rolled her eyes as Ava spoke up "Mission." The boys instantly relaxed. Cap looked at Ava "You look beautiful sis." She smiled and hugged Cap. Tony was next, he wiped a fake tear "They grow up so fast." Ava hit him the chest but hugged him anyway. She hugged Thor and Hawk-eye too. As she moved towards Hulk he grabbed her and squeezed the living daylights out of her, she managed to say "Hulk...to tight...can't breathe." He set her back on the ground taking deep breaths. Cap look at Ava "Are sure you don't want one of us coming with you." "I'll be fine you all worry too much." She smiled at them as they too did. Natasha walked up and stood next to Steve who wrapped an around her. They all looked shocked as Ava asked "When did this happen?" Natasha glared at her "Nothings happened i just need to rest my back so i'm leaning on Steve." Ava looked suspiciously between the two "Yeah sure" Natasha rolled her eyes and hugged Ava "You'll be fine...you got back up weapons?" Ava nodded. Natasha then said "Try and get laid after your done." Natasha winked at her as the boys shouted "NATASHA." Tony shook his head "Seriously Red head?" "Why not it'll divert her mind from Parker." Natasha smirked "You know Ava I was going through CCTV footage the other day and found a really heated moment between you and Spidey...Something Cooking?" Ava mentally face palmed herself. Changing the subject she screamed a bye and gave a quick hug to fury who's mouth was a gape. She ran out before she could be attacked with further questions. Natasha smirked watching the flushed girl, she sooooo had a thing for the Spider it was obvious. The rest of the Avengers and Fury looked at Natasha who explained everything. The guys just looked in between one another as Peter, Sam, Danny and Luke entered with questioning looks.

Ava looked at the scene in front of her. She sat at the table ordering a light champagne. She knew what she was after, she was just waiting for it to appear so she could do what she needed to do. As off now though she was completely bored out of her mind. Suddenly a figure sat in front of her "Sure invite yourself to sit." She looked at the her offender. Her eyes widened. "Parker." she hissed, she looked at him, a black tuxedo hung to his muscles enhancing them slightly, his hair smoothed over. "What the fuck are you doing here?" Peter smiled "To help you of course." "I don't need a babysitter." whined Ava "Well....That could be argued."Ava's eyes narrowed and a growl escaped her throat. Peter held up his hands. "Look Ava i'm here because Fury told me that you had mission and that it needs to be realistic. Now you tell me what type of person doesn't come without a date. That's where i come in, Danny was meditating, Sam was doing what Sam does and Luke was actually with me but he told me to go in and currently they are all  watching us." Plus he kinda wanted to go, after all he was leader. "All?... Avengers too." Peter nodded. "Well i guess you can stay..." Peter looked at her amused "Ohh honey i wasn't going to go even if you asked me too." Ava's eyes narrowed again Peter coughed slightly and changing the subject asked "So..who we here for?" "Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff" "Sounds familiar." "Probably because its Kraven's real name." Peter's eyes widened "Ava are you sure you want to do this...I mean after everything are sure you want to..." Ava smiled weakly "I'll be fine don't worry Parker...And besides your here." The two smiled but suddenly an awkwardness washed over them. Ava broke the silence "Too awkward." Peter chuckled slightly, his muscles tightening causing Ava to gulp. "I think if we just talk it won't be." Ava smiled slightly. The doors burst opened and in came Kraven. "Here's our guy." He disappeared into the crowd on the dance floor. Ava sighed "it's so hard to see him"  Peter extended his arm as Ava sent him questioning looks "Trust me." She slipped her hand into his and stood up. Finally he got a good view of her.

She was wearing a red floor length gown which hugged her covers down the middle there was a slit exposing her tanned legs she turned around and Peter saw that her dress was backless. He gulped. She looked back to him squeezing his hand. He looked at her and smiled leading her towards the dance floor. He wrapped his arms around her waist, as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "This is so much better." Peter wanted to read more into what she had said but decided not to. "Ava..." She looked him in the eye. "You look beautiful. My colour seems to suit you a lot." Ava blushed and hid her face in his shoulder blade. Peter chuckled as he did Ava felt a jolt go through her. Peter led them, swinging to the beat. Her hairs smelt lovely, as he buried his head in her hair. The song finished causing them to split. But Ava's hands remained on Peter's chest as his arms were wrapped around possessively around her waist.

Slowly Ava's arms moved back to Peter's neck as she looked at him. Peter pushed her against himself. And slowly moved in claiming her lips with his own. She tugged on the back of his hair as the two lip locked passionately. Ava could feel Peter smirk against her lips. She came out of the kiss and looked around for Kraven "Fuck." She muttered, Peter's tingling breath warmed her ear "What's wrong tiger?" "He's gone." Peter looked around grabbing Ava's hand and walking through the crowd.
